Absolutely delicious!!! First time visit with my hubby this afternoon and definitely plan another visit! The service was very friendly and we were seated within minutes of our arrival! I heard about this place from a friend and was in the area today so I decided to stop in for lunch. The lunch portions are excellent the prices are excellent and the chicken parmesan is excellent. The lunch menu as a large variety of items. The server I had was basically absent I seen the other server often but mine was no where in site. I even got up and paid at the counter and saw my server sitting at a table facing the other way playing with her phone she never did see me. The 5 stars are for the food only at that alone is why I will be going back,but when I do I will ask for a different person. This is our favorite pizza place in the Charlotte area. Large slices, not greasy, and great toppings. What more could you ask for. Now, Charlotte has some great pizza spots, but little Giacomo's tops the heap. They also have the best cheese sticks. I don't know what they do, but the fry and flavor are great. I have tried a lot of different Italian restaurants (even high-end), and Giacomo is still the best. The menu has plenty of options, and the food is always perfect. The portions are big, and the prices are fair! Waitstaff is also very attentive and polite. My favorite dish is the chicken parmesan and their bread rolls. This is one of the most underrated restaurants in the Charlotte, and I will continue to go back. Definitely give them a try. More...

We never go wrong with this place. I have been there three times and I have loved every entree I have selected: tortellini with pink sauce, eggplant parmesan, seafood fra diavolo. This is a mom and pa gem. When you walk in you instantly feel like you are going to be taken care of.The offer large pan dishes as well. a great size for a dinner party, family dinner or a potluck when you are not interested in cooking. If I could give 7 stars I would!! I LOVE, absolutely LOVE their pasta! I get the tortellini with chicken in pink sauce each time! The pink sauce is a must! It's not vodka sauce, it's better. Get it. You won't be disappointed. The rolls are worth the crabs and the extra cardio! They're soft and a perfect compliment to the must have pink sauce. The mild wings had a decent amount of spice, enough for me not to need to try the hot. Served with range or blue cheese, no celery...but who really enjoys celery anyway? The portion of food is insane! I was able to eat three different times from my leftovers! The staff is great, too. They know the menu, and I always get the feeling the employees enjoy working here. Been partial to a pizza chain called Wedgewood Pizza in Youngstown, OH all my life. I searched for smaller chains when I moved here because the bigger pizza places are good but I know there had to be better out there. And then....Giacomos 14" cheese pizza took its place in my life. Quick, fresh, hot, this place is at the top of my pizza joint list. I have never waited, never had a bad experience, and they are always polite and provide GREAT customer service! Good Italian food. The rolls and garlic knots arw homemade (highly recommend garlic knots). We got the lobster ravioli which was delicious, the house combination pizza very good (up there with NY pizza! ) And the linguini with clams and white wine sauce. All very tasty. The lobster taste fresh and may be a too dish for me...the clams may be from a can (not sure) but I highly enjoyed them. The 12 inch pizza they say is a personal pizza but if you are not super hungry I think it's enough for two people especially with an appetizer... we got the 14 inch pizza for two people and did not come close to finishing it (that's a good problem). If you're looking for a New York style pizza this is the place.  I grab a pie or two every Friday night on my way home from work. It's about 1/4 mile or less off the I-85 in the University area.  They have a full menu with nightly specials.  The restaurant is small so If you want to come and sit down for dinner I suggest you come early as theres always a wait on the weekend.  My favorite dish is the chicken parmigiana.  Oh and the warm bread you get when you get there are really good.  Cheers! His place has been around for at least 10 years and has always been a great hangout spot. We come here for once at least once a month. I think we really just come for the bread, it's really good bread. The service is pretty mediocre nothing to ring home about but not trouble either. The lunch prices are reasonable and the food is good. The pizza is probably the best thing I have had here. Then I would say the lasagna, which is a very huge portion so you will have dinner as well. The tortellini paste is good I got both mushrooms and chicken but I think I could have went without the chicken, it was kind of dry. We went here for dinner the other night. They have a nice outside area as well as a table area inside. They seem to do a lot of to go orders as they were busy the entire time we had dinner. My first night living in Charlotte, and I was craving pizza! My husband found Giacomo's using google. The establishment is small, but don't let that push you away. The environment looked clean, and the staff was very nice! We ordered pizza (made our own) and absolutely loved it!! It was cheesy, great sauce, and I loved the crust (so important to me). What a hidden gem! This definitely has a hometown feel entering this restaurant. We were seated quickly and had our drinks fast. We ordered a specialty pizza on the menu with pepperonis and another topping I forget. The pizza had great flavors and was huge. Ok so this place is incredible. They give you so much food. You know the food will be good when you pull it out of the bag and it's dripping! My boyfriend had the shrimp scampi pasta and it was AMAZING. I had the scallop and shrimp Alfredo. They forgot the scallops so I'm not sure how they taste but my pasta wasSuper creamy and delicious. This is the best Italian place ever! I never order red sauce anywhere because it's never as good as my mamas (who is Italian) but today for some reason I decided to, and it was amazing! ! My boyfriend and I just moved from New York and have been looking for a quality Italian joint to give us a taste of home. We ordered a Sicilian pie and the ziti with pink cream sauce (very similar to vodka sauce but just not as "punchy") and both were DELICIOUS ! We would absolutely order from Giacomo's again. The only thing I was a little sad about was that the ziti dish was supposed to come with a salad which I confirmed with the woman who took my pickup order over the phone but when I got home, it wasn't in the bag. My husband and I ate dinner here on a whim before a movie. We had the knots, both had the chicken parm with pasta, tiramisu and a cannoli. The food was delicious. It's our "thing" to try knots at pizza places and these were some of the best ones we've ever had. This is a true local spot. It's hidden in a shopping center and without a local or Yelp we would never have known about this one. The waiter  was extremely friendly and the food is all prepared fresh there "other than the pasta noodles" ni. We tried Lasagna and Chicken Frances. Hidden Gem!I was really surprised by the quality and size of their plates. Went here for dinner on a friday night. No wait, though we were seated in a booth by the entry. The snowstorm just passed a few days ago, but the air was still frigid. Hostess tried to seat us more inside, but everyone was crammed there already. props for trying!  Coming from NY, i'm really surprised how not many or any places in Charlotte have vestibules for temperature control. Perhaps it's due to climate change (YES, IT'S REAL) that Charlotte has experienced this type of weather, but wouldn't businesses want to save money on air-conditioning when patrons open the doors constantly? Just a thought and my only criticism of this place - even a temporary plastic vestibule would due the trick!Now for the main part: FOOOOOOOOOOOD:As appetizers, we had the garlic knots and the fried calamari. WINNERS!Those garlic knots are huge. We got the small order - 6 pieces. We were only 2 people and could barely finish 2 . Mainly because we got a huge plate of fried calamari. They serve them WITH the tentacles. Yum! Main course: I had the veil parmesan with the spaghetti. WOW. Two veil cutlets. HUGE ones. I could barely eat 1 and slightly touched the spaghetti. I've had friends telling me to try this place for a while so my friend and I stopped in for lunch after having a bad experience at another Italian restaurant in the area. The lady that seated us was very sweet and our server Chad (I think, can't remember !!) was super friendly, kind, and attentive.
