Cognitive Behaviour Therapy

I went from feeling like I had lots of emotions all tied together, not knowing where one ended and another began to being able to separate and distinguish my feelings. I realised that I am far more in control of aspects of my life than I did before. I now choose what I'm wiling to deal with. I understand the opinions of others are not mine to own!

I have never put myself first before, I used to view this as selfish but now I know it is not selfish, it is a necessity!

Rather than being lost in the middle of a maze, I now have a birds eye view and can see things clearly with choices of which way I would like to go rather than twisting and turning into places I don't want to be in.
I had reached a bleak place and needed direction, I expected to be given a wider perspective of my situation and hoped there would be tools I could use.

My needs were met but in a way deeper than I expected. I think that I was only thinking about my current situation but I now realise that the issues stemmed much further back than the last 2 years.

I had never connected my current situation to my upbringing and childhood and so to unpick these imbedded beliefs was to understand myself at a new, deeper level than before

It is clear to me that I do have coping methods that I didn't before. I realise I do not need acceptance or closure from others in order to feel it for myself.

6 months ago I couldn't stop crying, I couldn't see a way through the guilt and the negativity that I felt towards myself. I have surprised myself by not only developing tools to deal with emotions and self love but also going above and beyond and changing my mindset completely.

Biggest insights for me were;
1. Self care is vital. Do it, don't make excuses, make time!
2. Routine feels good and is good. Create positive habits and they are hard to break.
3. We tell children to dream big, that they can be whoever they want to be but we also need to believe and practise this concept as adults otherwise we are writing off our dreams and merely existing!
4. Accept the things you can not control and instead decide on what action to take, if any! Put things into perspective, you feel like this now but how relevant will it be next week, next month, next year?
5. Identify your big rocks, your big priortites.Dont let your life be filled with insignificant sand.

It was around Xmas 2018 when I spoke to Georgina. I was down in the dumps, looking back at the past year, thinking how I wasted another year and how yet again I’m still this weak, fragile person who lacks so much self- belief it’s crippling.

After talking to Georgina and listening to her story I became inspired.

Georgina broke down the issues and simplified the problems in digestible chunks.

Road to recovery wasn’t easy but referring back to Georgoina’s dialogues,the words lifted my spirits.

After a few months, I began to change my thought patterns, began to believe in myself, self-care, the negative patterns were reduced from a loud voice to a whisper.

I actually made myself think new thoughts that served me in becoming the most confident, high self-esteem version of myself.

I reminded myself of things I have accomplished in the past, people that love and support me, small things I’m proud of, things that I’m grateful for.

I began working out, keeping my body and mind in shape and eating less meat and more veg and fruit. The amount energy you get from eating less junk food is amazing! No more destroyers of my body.

The positiveness flowing through my veins I began to write again, spending hours and hours of doing something that I enjoy. I have recently submitted my book to an editor.

I had no self-belief, no motivation and confidence in me after I had my three children's I was a stay at home mother and had no goals or ambitions . I was recommended to Georgina O’Hanlon through a friend. After my first session with her I started to see light under the tunnel and had a vision and focus. I booked myself in for a few more sessions and here's my story now I have now got a full time job supporting people; a passion that I had for many years but never thought I had it in me . I have recently secured myself a permanent job and wise word of wisdoms Georgina gave me will keep me focus and most importantly not allow the demons in my head to overpower my thoughts and stop me believing in myself. Georgina changed my way of thinking showed me how to believe in myself and helped me achieve my goals in such a short time ! I lacked self confidence and self esteem, so I held back on many things in my life. Gina supported me to overcome these feelings she Encouraged me to do things out of my comfort zone and push myself further. Due to this I have now overcome many fears, been taught to think differently be positive and believe and love myself. This has resulted in me getting promoted successfully at work, and start up my own network marketing business, doing things I didn’t think I could even do.
