What’s the secret to taking a great photograph?
Its not a simple answer really, there is a multitude of techniques that a good photographer will use to create that great image, and its very much dependant on the situation and type of photography. What it boils down to in my opinion, is creating a photograph that draws the viewers eyes, and makes them rest on the subject. In some cases, it has nothing to do with the composition, opposing colours, the rule of odds or any other technique, but instead an image that stirs emotion, making the viewer stop and think, laugh or cry at what the photographer has shown them.
What questions might you ask a client when starting a new project?
I go over everything with my clients, to ensure they are satisfied with the end product. I will discuss with my clients their needs and expectations, and what we can do to get the best possible results.
What do you love most about your job?
I love working with people, and creating photographs that capture real emotion and expressions. There is nothing more rewarding than delivering the end product to a client, knowing you have created a beautiful collection of photographs for them.
What inspired you to start your own business?
After working many years for a large company, I decided I wanted to do something that challenged and inspired me. Working for yourself is a different way of life. But one that I find very rewarding, and gives me a great sense of achievement, when my ideas and hard work pay off.
Why should our clients choose you?
When your choosing a photographer, there is many things to consider. Firstly do you like their work? their style of photography? If you like sharp commercial looking portraits, there is no point booking a photographer who enjoys working only with soft natural light. For that reason, its not necessarily about being the best, just being the best fit for a client.

The second thing to consider when choosing a photographer, is do they take care of business. Its not just about taking great photos that your client will love, you also have to be well organised, professional, and ensure your clients can count on you.
