5 years ago I severely injured my back while training. Going back to the gym in the years that followed was never the same as a part of me was always concerned it would happen again. I’d lost my confidence, my training began to suffer and slowly lost my motivation.

Enter Jason.

His training not only taught me proper lifting techniques but also introduced me to key activation exercises and pre/post work out stretching routines.

Jason motivated me, throughout my entire process with him, to achieve both my short term and long term training goals. He showed up everyday not to be my ‘buddy’ but to push me. Jason knew what I wanted out of his training and made sure I worked to get it. The programs he put me through were attainable but tough.. really tough. I cursed a lot, maybe even cursed at him, but in the end I wouldn’t be where I am today without his coaching

Thank you again Jason, you not only built my strength back, you more importantly restored my confidence to lift.

I worked with Jason Bell after my car accident. After seeing physiotherapists, kinesiologists and other care providers, I saw the greatest improvement in my recovery when I worked one on one with Jason. Having gone through injuries himself, his guided me with a combined approach of exercise, stretches and diet for a holistic approach to recovery. I’d recommend Jason to anybody. He’s one of the most knowledgeable and genuinely passionate trainers you’ll find. He does an excellent job of teaching rather than just simply giving you a workout so you can take that knowledge with you when your sessions are done. He never rushes you for time and makes sure that everything you set out to do in that session gets done, including all teaching points he may have for you. Months after we’d finished our sessions he would still message me to ask how things are going and offer advice for any problems I might be having at the time. Jason will create a personalized training experience for anyone of any level. Creating a plan just for me allowed me to map out my next 4 weeks of workouts and also know exactly the goal I was working towards. He was dedicated, engaged, encouraging and most of all patient while I learned new exercises or when I would come in having an off day. When I approached Jason I was bored, sore and tired of going to the gym, making it impossible for me to hit any gains or growth potential. Jason brought fun back to the gym while contributing new and exciting safe ways to train from which I saw MASSIVE results. When I started training with Jason, I was pushing the scales at 245. I had two frozen shoulders, and zero self confidence.
I was terrified at the concept of loosing 100 lbs and excessing. Jason was so patient, but still pushed me to be the best I could be.
I am now 80 lbs lighter, off all medication (high blood pressure and stomach medication). I feel amazing.

The level of professionalism and ability to watch and critique my form, posture, and time under tension, to make those minor adjustments and provide feedback on the fly really improved my work out and recovery.

I mentioned to Jason I had minor lower back issues and when some of the exercises ended did irritated the area, within a few minutes of providing some stretches that targeted this area that I was able to get back on my feet for that session and also for the future and incorporated those stretches to my routine.

We live in a world where everyone is an Instagram Personal Trainer, Jason with his knowledge of anatomy, muscles, weight training and cardio, is the top in his industry.

He isn’t cheap, neither is my time; he’s effective and full of knowledge that has turned out results I am very impressed with.

I look forward to seeing you on our next training session!

I have been fortunate enough to play high level sports my entire life. This came with many and all types of team and individual trainers and coaches. What makes Genuine Athletics different is the trainers never put you in a ‘box’. They do not force you into only a bikini competitor or only a soccer player or only a marathon runner. You are trained for everything you do and want to do. They do not treat you like you are broken or say “you can’t” because of past or current injuries. If you have the will they will be your way. And, they do not ‘choose’ a stereotype client. I have seen and trained beside Team Canada softball players, fellow personal trainers, and badass moms, who at the end of the day are all there for the same thing. To sweat it out. If you are tired of “cookie-cutter” diet plans, being forced to train for only one sport, or are tired of hearing “you can’t do that anymore” these are the trainers and the community for you.

PS. Jason is NOT your typical trainer. He does not make you reliant on him. He teaches you how to be successful at your training and recovery with and without him. He trains you in many different styles (even ones I did not think I could do). And, he genuinely cares about his clients as people not as dollar signs. He remembers my games, my work events, and my family always and he is contagiously excited (if not more excited than you will be) at every progression you make.

Trained with Jason for a little while a few years ago.
He is an amazing trainer, because his plans are not just generic cookie cutter workout routines.

My goal was way different than anyone else and he created a program just for me alone. Not only that, he explained the rationale behind what I was doing. He is also super responsive to questions via text and even helped me with a grocery list!

Would definitely work with you again Jman.
