If you want a psychiatrist that will talk with, listen for more than 10 minutes (most docs can't even do 2 mins), and is ultra-knowledgeable you should see Dr. Fikter. I have seen many psychiatrists (8?) for a complex illness and if Dr. Fikter is not the best he is certainly in the top tier.With regard to wait times: I've encountered wait times with just about every care provider I have seen -- especially psychiatrists. Generally its the psychiatrists who run the latest as they can't afford to shew someone out of their office while they are in the middle of a crisis. So you get your pick: a psychiatrist that will listen when you are in bad way, who also runs late sometime or a psychiatrist to doesn't listen but is always on schedule. More...
