General Building & Renovation Ltd

We had Villy Rusu (aka Vasile Rusu) to do some bathroom renovation & bedroom painting & new flooring & stairs cladding & new wall handrail on our property in August this year. He had promised that he will complete the work in about 2-3 weeks. Because we had to go on holiday (he knew from the beginning about this already planned holiday) just before he started to work on the stairs cladding, we both agreed that he should return to complete the work. A day before he was suppose to start the work, after I tried many times to contact him, he told me that he won't come back to finish the work. He gave no reasons for his decision apart from the fact that he has some personal issues to sort. Later over the email, when I started to question his decision, he blame me that I asked to get a "perfect job" and I'm a difficult person (why he didn't mention anything to me before?). Well, far as I'm aware, people usually pay/ask for a perfect job to be done and not for bad jobs or half way done! He had another big job to do during this time (an extension), which I understood, he didn't finish on time as well and with lots of quality issues. During the 2 weeks that he was on our property, on many occasions he turned in very late and gave me lot of excuses that he has problems with his personal car. He gave me the impression that he has no control over his work and no planning skills. Many times we had to remind him what to do or what he missed. As a note, he just cancelled his CheckaTrade account where he had a few bad reviews.
PS I just found that he didn't fixed the toilet to the floor with the brackets supplied by manufacturer. I had to re-install the toilet seat as one of the screws become loose after a month.

Anyway, take care if you decide to use this person and pay only for finished work. Personally I won't recommend his services. More...
