I looked at a lot of PHP/IOP programs before landing on GenPsych and I am SO glad I came here. The DBT program saved my life. I went to the Livingston location and have Manny as a therapist but all of the DBT therapists are fantastic. They also do 24/7 phone coaching for dbt patients which shows they put their money were their mouth is in supporting us. There’s such a great sense of community among the patients which has given me peer support like I never understood was possible was before. More...

I am in the DBT program right now and it is absolutely fabulous. I won't speak to other aspects of the facility but the DBT therapists Manny, Elissa and Cathrine are very knowledgable and kind. The terminology of the treatment and the skills are so complex that their phone coaching line is a life saver. I have found these groups and my individual therapy very helpful and so interesting. The DBT program here is the only thing that has helped me. The 3 therapists: Catherine Elissa and Manny all are professional and know what they are doing. If you need to make life changes and need help doing it.. I would recommend coming here because it has made a big difference for me. More...

I was recommended here for the DBT services which were excellent. Can't speak for the other poor reviews, I guess they did not do the DBT program. Two therapists in that program are VERY component, one of them seems a little off, kind of rude to clients at times, but nothing I could not handle. Go here, you'll learn something you wish you learned years ago. More...

After being in and out of therapy for most of my life, I was skeptical of this place at first. However, going here truly changed me. I highly credit the DBT program at GenPsych in Livingston to the progress in my recovery. I know I did all of the work, but I couldn’t have done it without the help of all of the therapists in the program and learning all of the DBT skills. It was truly life changing. I would highly recommend it! More...

Therapy is different for everyone, but as someone who's been in their adolescent program and adult program, I'd say the bad reviews are really undeserved. It's such a kind and helpful atmosphere and as long as you really do want to get better, it helps. If you sit around and don't take anything in (which firsthand I've seen plenty do), it won't help. Service was fine, therapists were fantastic and I highly recommend Tonita. More...

I think the therapists, doctors, nurses and staff at GenPsych in Bridgewater were great. They were knowledgeable and caring; I felt safe in their hands. I learned a great deal in the IOP program and they helped me in a time of crisis. It seems they had to make cut backs in the time I was there, so I hope they continue to run. We need more mental health facilities in NJ, and they are willing to work with you with billing, plus take insurance. The only negatives I will say is sometimes it seems communication between staff is lacking (especially if you are working with the interns) and the place could use a makeover. But I would recommend this facility to anyone who is looking for help in a time of crisis. More...

Really cares about her patients, even if not apparent initially. I've run into a patient of hers who claimed he'd take a bullet for Dr. Ye.

I would one hundred percent recommend this place, you get tons and tons of help. I just graduated from here and me going back to school was amazing thanks to them. I used to refuse to go to class but after going here, I am always in class and I have no anxiety in school anymore. I couldn't have done it without them!!! More...

About 5 years ago I met Dr. Ye, and putting it mildly she literally saved my life in so many ways. I have read the reviews about Dr. Ye, and I can tell you for certain she is ABSOLUTELY the most caring human being you will ever meet. Do not mistake someones accent/difference in their native language for lack of, caring, or poor communication skills. I can assure you she listens very intently to everything you say, and she without a doubt understands what you are saying, and more importantly she genuinely cares about your mental health, and well being. I met with Dr.Ye about 5 years ago after my marriage fell apart, and I was very sad after losing my immediate family to various unforeseen illnesses, basically I was completely devastated, and never felt so low. This PERSON/HUMAN BEING/LOVING AND CARING INDIVIDUAL Dr. Ye helped me see that life goes on, I am deserving of happiness, and she helped me find that. Please do not let some of these cruel people influence you who have made these terribly untrue statements about Dr.Ye change your mind. I am now in a very happy, and loving relationship for over 4 years, and my life has done a complete 180 degree turn, and yours can too. Last but not least, please understand that while these sites are helpful for others that the people you are reviewing are people with feelings, so please be careful, and chose your words carefully because you never know just how hurtful they can be. Best of luck if you are reading this review! More...

Saved my life. Caring, compassionate genuine people who provide a safe place to begin recovery of addiction and mental health. Every staff member is approachable, kind and helpful if you ask for help. It's a facility that allows personal recovery without pressure or shame. My life has already changed for the better because I was ready to get help, and this facility provides the tools to do so.
If you are looking for a community atmosphere, you'll find it here-clean, comfortable sofas, tables and chairs to enjoy coffee or tea.
The program is organized and the counselors are knowledgeable, dedicated and helpful.
Wonderful facility for recovery.

I went to GenPsych after being hospitalized for 7 days. I was really anxious about starting a new program after having a bad experience at the hospital. The staff was very friendly and for the first time, I felt like someone was listening to me. They didn't try to shove tons of meds down my throat but actually took a conservative approach. I would recommend GenPsych to anyone struggling with anxiety or depression. More...
