I worked with Clive and his team (primarily his father Clive Snr) on transforming my bathroom.

The quote process was smooth and easy and I selected Gecko even though they weren't the cheapest of quotes, but Clive demonstrated a clear interest and passion in doing the job.

When it came to executing on the project I'm very happy with the final outcome. Clive Snr in particular took his time to do the job properly rather than quickly. He would often make suggestions to improve things as well went along, not because they were easier or because he was charging me but because he demonstrated pride in his job. I'm very thankful to Clive Snr for his work and dedication and have gone on to recommend him and Gecko to my friends and neighbours.

The bathroom was not a standard job, I had a japanese style toilet installed, bluetooth speakers and bathroom tv along with adding new lighting, ripping out the old bath and installing a walk in shower.

The whole experience of using the bathroom now has been transformed . I'll share photos on here if I can work out how to do so as I'm really happy with the work.

In addition to the bathroom, I also got Clive to do other jobs around the apartment subsequently as I was pleased with the team.

I moved out during the job and left them the keys. I know I can trust Clive Snr and the team.

The team was helpful collecting the bathroom furniture as well so saved me the hassle

I give them my full recommendation and endorsement.

Q&As

Before you decide on anything it’s always best to get a builder who specialises in loft conversions, like ourselves, who will give you some ideas to work with.
Here are a few points that may be considered:
Loft space and height
A minimum height of 2.4 metres is the general height that is considered for adequate bedroom or study space.
Access to loft
An important consideration is where the stairs for the new loft conversion will go.
Can you go straight from your landing? If not, are your rooms big enough to lose an area for the stairway?
Property age
Generally the older the type of property, the easier it is to convert.
Joists and rafters are usually easier to convert, rather than trusses, that tend to be built with modern houses. In this case, the roof will need to be supported by steel beams.

Once you have the all clear to go then it’s worth looking into other aspects such as dormers, sky lights, electrics, plumbing etc.

Hope this helps

Regards
