We were fortunate enough to meet Gary when we were planning our engagement party. His wife did an amazing job with the decorations, and Gary took the photos. We were blown away by his professionalism and how comfortable and natural the whole process was. When it was time to organize a photographer for the actual wedding, there was no doubt that we were booking Gary. He made the whole process super easy, and again was so professional. We met months before the wedding to map everything out, which was very helpful in staying organized, and come the day of the wedding, it was a huge relief to know we had someone who knew exactly how the whole day was supposed to go down. And in terms of the actual photos, wow we were so so impressed! We got some truly amazing pictures of our wedding, and we couldn't be happier. Christina and I were married on June 22nd, 2018. Goes without saying there's a lot of decision making when it comes to planning the special day. One thing we took very seriously from the moment we were engaged was the eventual wedding photos that would capture the event. Gary Evans came highly recommended from a couple different sources and now we know why!From the initial phone conversations to the engagement shoot and finally our wedding day, Gary's services went way beyond our expectations. He has a way of making you feel comfortable and yet also makes sure you have some fun during each shot. His creativity is exceptional and the fact he hand delivered his final product to us impressed us both a lot. We had a few key photo requests. Gary nailed them all. Honorable mention goes to the photos he took of Christina's mom, Brenda. Brenda was diagnosed with cancer shortly before the wedding day. No doubt we put some pressure on him when we asked him to capture as many good photos as he could of the Mother of the Bride. Well needless to say most of our family has agreed they they were some of the best photos they'd ever seen of Brenda. She glowed in everyone of them. Amazing person and photographer! Immediately at the consultation Gary's kindness and professionalism was evident. Gary is absolutely amazing at what he does. Talented, passionate, professional. My Wife and I couldn't have been more lucky to have him at our wedding. He is very personable and will put you at ease. He can walk into a room or a venue he's never been in before, and just start owning it. The best angles, the best lighting, the best ideas for possible shots, the attention to detail. Efficient and thorough (and I for one thought it was fun too). He is also very fast - capturing a moving target isn't easy. It requires skill and forethought and instinct and timing, and his results truly speak for themselves. We have wonderful photos now from our big day that we will get to cherish for the rest of our lives. We met Gary back in 2015 at a wedding show in Kitchener. At the time we had just begun planning our fall 2016 wedding. After seeing his work and speaking to him, we knew we were going to book him before we decided on a venue. Gary was extremely helpful and professional leading up to the wedding. He had wonderful suggestions every step of the planning process, and recommended professional vendors when asked. He even helped us plan the schedule for the day of the wedding! Gary always puts his clients first. Whenever we contacted Gary he always took the time to answer our questions and made us feel like we were his only clients. On the day of our wedding Gary was very mindful of the schedule that was made and ensured that we followed it. He was able to politely and professionally marshal guests for formal pictures and disappear into the crowd to get candid shots. To say we are absolutely thrilled with our wedding photos would be an understatement! Gary is so talented and professional, and also made you feel comfortable in front of the camera. Gary has an eye for these amazingly creative poses, angles and lighting, and his vision results in stunning, wall-worthy photographs. Initially, when we thought about our wedding photo goals, we had hoped to get that one, stand-out, wall-worthy photo. Well we ended up having way more wall-worthy shots than we could have ever dreamed! We had such a hard time narrowing down our favourites, we ended up framing 43... and still we felt like there were more we would have liked to frame. Some of our favourites were also taken at night, and the photos are so unique, we just love them! We are so happy we chose Gary to photograph our big day. Photography was one of our top priorities, and Gary certainly exceeded our expectations! Gary went the extra mile, lying on the floor, and hanging out amongst the trees and bushes to get the perfect shots, and his work speaks for itself!
