Neil and his team did a fantastic job transforming our dull and grey terrace on the fourth floor of a new development in a busy part of Central London into a restful and private oasis of greenery and calm. They worked through our design requirements intelligently and with vision, and coordinated all the different aspects of the project: custom planters, screens, built-in benches, storage, outdoor furniture, automatic irrigation system, choice and supply of plants and trees, outdoor lighting, cantilevered parasol, green walls... It's all come together now into a flowing and practical space that offers an indoor/outdoor connection with our apartment. I chose the Garden Builders to build a roof terrace that I had designed. They were superb. It was a challenging site - involving hoisting all the materials up the side and keeping all the residents happy. They were utterly professional - respectful of my clients apartment, really good attention to detail and on top of all this really nice! They were also really happy to come back for the most minor of snags and make sure it was left perfectly for my client. I'm delighted with the finished result and wouldn't hesitate to recommend them. It was a breath of fresh air to meet someone so passionate about his vision. From design concept through to build and completion I was given a first rate service. The Garden Builders have built two a gardens that I have designed and I was delighted with the service they provided. Their standard of workmanship and attention to detail was exceptional.
The gardens look amazing and, importantly for designers and clients, reflect my visions and concepts with no corners cut or compromises.
I Ioved working with the landscaping team, they were extremely knowledgeable and happy to help sort out any technical issues. When asked for changes these were made without hesitation or irritation. I was treated with respect and consulted at all stages. My client loved having the team on site and absolutely love their gardens.
One project was a challenging build on a steep slope with lots of retaining walls and level changes. The Garden Builders had the skills and knowledge in their team to cope with everything the project threw at them.
The other garden was a tiny Victorian front garden and it was treated with no less respect and attention to detail than the large project.
I would highly recommend The Garden Builders to anyone thinking of having a garden constructed and other designers looking for contractors to recommend to their clients.
