I fully recommend Garden Essentials. For various reasons, the weeds have been winning at my residence. After Garden Essentials' first visit, the weeds are in firm retreat! Here is a list of my observations of their work: Staff: ~ No matter who I spoke to on the phone or how busy they were, everyone was kind and pleasant. ~ They did not hesitate to indicate if another team member had a greater expertise AND then connected me to the other team member. ~ The supervisors on site were conscientious of all staff, from ensuring everyone had water and sunscreen, to leading by example in diligently working for the full 6 hours. ~Senior staff took opportunities to further the knowledge of junior staff. To the reverse all staff seemed very comfortable asking questions and getting confirmation on task details. Work: ~ Everyone who worked on site was respectful of my home and always announced they were entering my home when using the washroom. All tools and shoes were removed to ensure no dirt was brought inside. ~ Other than slacking off for lunch ;) all employees worked diligently for the full day. ~ Weed removal was done by hand. Care was applied to ensure weeds were properly dug out and roots were fully removed. NO SHORTCUTS. ~ Care was taken to protect plants and flowers within the weed mess. ~ Staff were very knowledgeable about my garden issues, and general gardening questions I had. ~ All waste was collected in compostable paper bags and neatly lined up by the garage ready to be put out with compost by city pickup. ~ The sidewalk, paving stones, and retaining wall were all swept of dirt and waste after completed work. ~ Any old plant tags, plastic plant cups, or garbage that had blown in the yard was collected separately to be tossed. ~ When I commented at the end of the day about the tidiness, one staff member noted it is their policy to be like garden fairies. There should be no evidence of the work, just the completed garden ready to enjoy. Thank you, Kimberly More...
