Garces catered my small wedding and they did a wonderful job! Even though the wedding was small, we still received such wonderful service and communication throughout the whole process. Once we picked a location for the reception, Garces completely handled the rest from staff to food to decor. The room was gorgeous and all our friends and family raved about the food. Thank you to Claire and Garces for such a wonderful wedding reception! They're definitely not the cheapest caterer in Philly, but they're well worth it and I'd highly recommend hiring them for your event. More...

Jose Garces is an Iron Chef and James Beard Award winner for 'Best Chef Mid-Atlantic'. He has an outstanding reputation in and around Philly. I believe he upholds that reputation with his elegantly plated, thoughtfully designed nosh for all sorts of catering needs. Garces Group stays hip to food trends and gives proper nods to Garces' Hispanic heritage (when appropriate). Whether it's kitschy pop up bars, beautiful themed spreads or passed hors d'oeuvres, Garces Group provides creative and edgy bites for all occasions. I am always in awe of his perfectly sized cocktail portions. These properly sized bites allow you to have a taste of everything they have to offer without feeling feel obnoxiously full. And when you're out and about, all decked out or planning on dancing the night way, who wants that anyway?  Perfect for a cocktail hour before your main event or for cocktail parties alone. Elegant eating. Love it! Garces Group also provides pop ups from their many restaurants including Distrito which is much more youthful and playful than his other spots such as Amada and Garces Trading. This idea would be great for a mitzvah celebration or more casual event. Think "guactinis", mini churro skewers and mini tacos. So fun! I love that each plate has the title card and not only lists ingredients but includes dietary information such as gluten free and dairy free! I've been treated to many Jose Garces catered events being Yelp Elite, and being the recipient of invites to some pretty swanky shindigs. I can't say enough good things about them. From a guest only point of view that is.
