My wife and I enjoyed our dinners very much. We had the Hotsy Totsy shrimp, and crab cakes for appetizers; the Rinaldi with chicken, and Linguini Carbonara for mains. Everything was absolutely delicious!!! Very generous portion sizes too. We forgot to bring a bottle of wine (BYOB) so our server - Heidi offered to have the local wine store deliver a bottle. She called the store and then related to us which labels they had for our choice of Pinot Grigiot (for Sangria). When we got our bill at the end, The cost was extremely reasonable. The night we were there, was very lively. There were two large groups and everyone was having a great time as were we. This was our first time to Roberto's. Leave no doubt, it won't be our last. My friend gave her daughter's baby shower there, about 50 ladies. They fed us generously, samples of eggplant parmigiana, chicken parmigiana, veal parmigiana, some creamy pasta but I fell over in love with their sole fish. When I expressed how much I loved it they brought me out my own little plate and ate as much as I could. Our meal, from the appetizers to the desserts was excellent! Our server was very professional and pleasant. Went on a Sunday night at 6pm, & were one of only a few tables there. By 7pm the place started filling up. Their food is entirely cooked to order, so you may have a longer wait to get your meal, but the food was fresh, delicious and hot. The parties at this restaurant are served family style and in courses. Once the guests arrive we start with the salad course, then we change the plates and serve appetizers and it goes that way for every course. There are times when the customer prefers to have everything served at one time. In this case we set the tables with larger dinner plates to accommodate all the different types of food at once. When a party is scheduled at 12 and guests don't arrive until 1:30 then yes you probably won't be served until 1:50. Unfortunately in this business or any other business you can't make everyone happy. We strive our best but it's difficult when dishes and glass is being broken and the floor littered with food, candy, and dirty diapers because then we have to stop and clean up for the safety of our customers. The floor can become very slippery. Unfortunately we needed to close after that particular party so we could restore the restaurant to the comfortable inviting place our customers know and love. This place is also known as Riberto's so it was a bit of confusion when my party and I arrived because we thought we were in the wrong place. But no, we indeed found the place we needed to be last night! Its a very intimate spot (about 12 tables) tucked down a little street in Kenilworth but it is so worth the visit. The service and food was nothing short of Amazing! Even with a very Loud and Obnoxious Private Party going on during our visit our server managed to still tend to our needs. Everything is cooked to order so we expected a long wait but our food was out in less than 20 minutes and my party enjoyed all of our entrees and appetizers. Amazing!!!BYOB with awesome Italian food.We brought white wine for sangria, which they made with sugar substitute, had plenty of oranges, apples and strawberries; pitcher of ice on the side; super refreshing.CINO shrimp appetizer is a must. Spicy sausage with green peppers app was also great.Veal was amazing: thin, tender and delicious.I ordered a filet medium rare RJ style (which is onions, peppers, tomatoes, vinegar on top), and the steak was perfectly cooked.
