WOULD NOT RECOMMEND: Extremely Disappointed with Unprofessional Wedding Videographer

I am writing this review with immense disappointment and frustration after my experience with Josh Galinato. I had to cancel my contract with him due to an absolute lack of communication and trustworthiness, which ultimately made it impossible for us to rely on him for capturing our special day.

I wish I would of seen the red flags early as from the very beginning, it became clear that effective communication was not one of Josh's strong suits. After we had paid our deposit, Josh went MIA. About a month after we paid, my fiancé sent an email to Josh with some short questions that he did not answer previously. It took an astonishingly long five months for him to respond to my fiancés initial query. Even worse was that I had to become involved and had to DM an associate of his on Instagram who then told him to respond to our multiple attempts to contact him. This constant need to chase him for even the most basic communication was beyond frustrating and completely unacceptable.

When he finally did respond, it was clear that he had put little effort into his reply. The message was rushed and filled with numerous grammatical errors, which raised serious concerns about his professionalism and attention to detail. I was left wondering if he would approach our wedding day with the same lack of care and dedication.

Given the consistent lack of professionalism and trustworthiness demonstrated by Josh, my fiancé and I made the difficult decision to cancel our contract. We provided him with two months of extra time to respond and rectify the situation and still he did not respond back so we felt the only option was to cancel and find someone we could trust. We felt it was a reasonable to ask for the deposit back due to the hardships he created but he refused to refund our deposit.

To say that our experience with Josh has been disappointing would be an understatement. It is disheartening to have wasted so much time and effort attempting to work with someone who displayed such a lack of professionalism and basic business practices such as responding to your clients within a reasonable time. I strongly advise other couples to steer clear of this videographer to avoid the same frustrations and disappointment we encountered.

Wedding planning is already a stressful process, and entrusting someone with capturing your cherished memories should be a joyful and exciting endeavor. Gali Productions is awesome! Joshua made sure he knew exactly what we wanted captured for our wedding day and then went above and beyond our expectations! Not only did he provide a teaser video only a few weeks after our wedding, but our final wedding video came not long after that and it was edited so beautifully, it made our family cry all over again. Amazing photographer leads to amazing photos!! Josh from Gali productions helped my fiancé and I capture the emotions of our engagement. He was so helpful from the beginning and communicated often with me before the session to understand what we were looking for. He sent suggestions and was always available to answer our questions. The session was so easy, he made us feel so comfortable and it helped us relax even more. The results were beyond our expectations!!! He sent us some photos as a preview the same day but the final product was the best part! We were so happy to had chosen him as our photographer for our engagement photos! He is the best in Maui!!!
