Amazing food. Good value. We were told that the Restuarant is about to have a face-lift, with a modernised menu. Will wait and see.

Authentic Indian food in lavish ambience by very friendly staff. Fine dining but still good value for money ! Must visit when around Oxford Street.

I've been meaning to visit one of the oldest Indian restaurants in London! Ever since my dad told me he used to dine there in the 70's. I honestly can't explain how brilliant the service was and how wonderful the food tasted last night. I can't wait to go back there again. Plus their paintings are stunning! I don't listen to reviews, I make my own assumptions. More...

Truly refined version of a curry house. Not cheap but you feel you are getting value for money - food superb, some dishes that have been on the menu decades alongside some modern twists on modern Indian cuisine. Service also great.

The food is very very nice. Everything I have tried is brilliant. The taco they give is well presented and lamb shank is probably the best.
However it seems they have more of a American culture (no offense) they always seem to be wanting a tip and service charge. When I went last time they wanted service charge of £29, are the serious FFS?
On top they even had the cheek to give a receipt and say would you like to add tip.
When I refused to give service charge the waiter straight away called the manager. The manager tries you to encourage you to pay the service charge and has the cheek to say it's a reasonable price and good service. Well firstly it's upto me the customer to decide whether I would like to pay service charge and there is not going to be any way I will pay for tip to. The prices are already expensive as it is. People please do not be pressured into giving in and in UK there is no law to say that service charge and tipping is mandatory it is 100% discretionary and optional

It's not the oldest Indian restaurants in London for nothing. We are always greeted with a smile, and love their authentic Indian menu (the Butter Chicken is to die for! ). Often packed, there is a real buzz about the place, and certainly one of the restaurants we return to again and again! Great for a business lunch or night out with friends! More...

Fantastic experience... Been here for lunch and for dinner on several occasions. The service is excellent but moreover the food is so authentically Indian. The GM, Sameer, is a gentleman and even got us a complimentary after meal drink.
Can’t wait to return

Always great food. Service is up and down, but then there are very few restaurants that actually provide that. Again, top Indian food.

Great food, with some really interesting fusions. The service is pretty bad unfortunatly, which made it pretty comical. A member of our party was told he could not order one item as he would not like it.

Usually a fan of Mexican food but I must say that this was good.

I visited this restaurant after a recommendation from a friend and I was blown away. It is small, and somewhat understated, and I had driven past it many times without even noticing it, but it is one of those little gems that you just need to know about.

Beautifully spiced, packed with flavour and just utterly delicious. The aubergine dish is quite possibly my favourite food in the entire world.

Simply delicious.

Great food, good service and a lot of history behind the place. Definitely a bit more than your usual curry place but you do pay more too

Just had great meal at Gaylord Indian Restaurant. Service was really good and the chef went out of the way to cook special dishes for for our young daughter. Great all round.

Heard this place had a reputation for being very good so popped in for their speedy lunch menu. Two delicious curries and drinks for less than £20. Service was pleasant and fast. We were in and out in just over 30 mins. More...
