HUGE thank you to the Fyzical folks. I called in an incredible amount of pain in my neck and back. They were able to get me in the next day for my initial assessment with Emerson, PT. Emerson was incredibly thorough as he asked multiple questions to get to the root of my pain. He went through various exercises to alleviate the pain to have me feeling exponentially better walking out the door. I am familiar with another facility in Brevard, which is why I chose to go to Fysical! Initially, I was a little turned-off because of the items for sale in the lobby, but never felt any pressure to buy anything. The staff is superb and I like the fact that I see 1 PT and 1 PTA, alternately. Also, although I may be scheduled for the PTA, the PT is following me, closely. Another aspect of the facility that I appreciate is the "front office". I attempted to change an appointment, but was initially told none were available, but they'd let me know. (I expected nothing and thought they were being polite.) However, less than 4 hours later, they did followed-up with a phone call to say that a slot had opened! I was in a terrible car accident (hydroplaned on wet curve). I was banged against the side of my car (was strapped in by seatbelt) multiple times, hit a telephone pole and wound up in a deep ditch, the car on its side. )I couldn't walk, was on crutches for weeks, had severe facial trauma, occipital lobe trauma, left leg and foot trauma and a torn rotator cuff. Blessed to have survived.Jessica and Guienivere at the Merriman Avenue location in Asheville, NC, slowly, but steadily healed my facial pain, head and neck pain.My shoulder pain was overpowered by the head, neck and facial pain, so didn't have severe enough pain in shoulder to be concerned.Therefore I put off going to orthopedic doctor as I have a husband with dementia and was scared of surgery,The pain got so bad, I had to go and found out I have a tear/rupture so went back to Perfect Balance.Now we are working on the rotator cuff and I am fully certain they will help me with my shoulder as well, as surgery is my last choice and hopefully I won't need because of the pror success I've had at Perfect Balance.Angelina BowenAsheville, NC More...

They fixed me!! Everyone at Perfect Balance is fantastic. They really took the time to get to know my life/work situation and to come up with a treatment plan for my back injury that took into account all of my daily activities. I'm truly amazed with what some relatively simple body mechanics corrections and an easy-to-follow home exercise plan have done for my overall health.
