We adopted Roxie yesterday. Staff were wonderful and you can tell they genuinely love being there and care for the animals. They had all the paperwork ready to go, and even gave us choices for a harness, collar, leash and a bag of Roxie's dog food. They even plate engraved her dog tag to attach to her collar. Fuzzy Friends had a Facebook post for a 14 1/2 year old Shepherd mix named Ellie. I knew she’d fit right in with my aging pack so I went the next day. The staff were so wonderful helping me fill out the paperwork and with meeting Ellie. I made the comment that I loved seniors and they said well we have another one that needs a home and out trotted Teddy a 13 1/2 year old. Needless to say I fell in love with both immediately and because of their age they came home with me that day. Ellie was in bad medical shape but because Fuzzy Friends took her in along with the Vets at Cottonwood Creek Vet Clinic, she lived a life in a home filled with love and many beds to lay her weary bones. Ellie passed away in July and I miss her every single day. Teddy is now totally blind and deaf but is sitting by my side eating one of his many daily meals. I’m thankful to Fuzzy Friends for taking him in and believing I was good enough to love such wonderful and kind souls. I’ll always look to Fuzzy Friends to add to my pack when the time comes. They are undeniably one of the best rescues in Texas! More...
