It is one of the most beautiful theaters in the United States, a true relic. My only negative comment would be the lack of public parking spaces on Flagler Strre and the outrageous prices charged by private valet services.

It's an exceptionally beautiful theater. I feel very fortunate having this grand venue within our city. Even though the leg room is a bit limited, it is comfortable. The snacks and beverage area is good. There's really not much of a line. The bathrooms are clean. I went for the Spain films two different days and it was fun and I looked forward to going again. It's definitely a place to take lots of pictures. The staff is courteous and seemed happy to be there. Only one complaint, and that is about the staff person, a pretty lady, outside constantly interrupting and moving everyone to the side, which takes the fun out of the anticipation of going inside. The South Florida cast of the hit musical, "Simply Simone - The Music of Nina Simone" performed at the Olympia Theater's In the Lobby Jazz Series tonight and the cast - Sarah Gracel (Nina 1), Ja'Nia Harden (Nina 2), Toddra Brunson-Solomon (Nina 3) and Deana Butler-Rahming (Nina 4) along with their band, John Harden II (Musical Director-Piano), Ryan Reid (Bass), Delano West (Guitar) and Jason Kent (Drums) were AMAZING! !! Vocal director, Ms. Isis Roberts crafted an incredibly entertaining show for the Olympia Theater. The energy from the audience was electrifying!!! One audience member remarked that he had seen a number of shows at the Olympia, but this Simply Simone show was by far, the best! Another audience member shared that, this Simply Simone show MUST tour other venues in the Southeastern region.
