It was a pleasure working with Juan from Frida’s Cocina Food Truck. They responded promptly to all communication before the event, and he arrived in plenty of time to get set up before the event began. He was professional and friendly, and gave great service. One of the other food trucks we had booked never showed up, but Frida’s Cocina and the other truck that came both brought enough extra food that they were still able to serve our crowd of 900 without a problem. Thank you Elsa for setting up our mega open house for our team. All the neighbors loved coming to see our new listing and stayed a while to chat with us while fresh tacos were prepared on site. Absolutely obsessed with Fridas!! Experienced their out of this world tacos at a party they catered and WOW!!! I didn't know what to expect when I saw the truck parked out front, but they brought the food truck experience to life in an unconventional and very current way. It was such a fun concept, and the food, staff and overall structure of the ordering/serving did not disappoint. We hired Frida's Cocina to cater a welcome party before our wedding, and we couldn't have been happier! Since we emailed them to enquire, they were always prompt and courteous, and they even drove their truck all the way to Scripps Ranch just to give us a taste of their delicious tacos and salsas! Everything is so fresh and tasty and the fish taco especially is amazing! After we booked them for the welcome party, they accommodated all our requests (we wanted custom veggie tacos, gluten free chips, different plates etc) and even suggested some changes themselves! The day of the party, they were very punctual, their taco stand setup looked great, and the food was fresh and delicious. Their service was also very good. This food is authentic Mexican food! From the first bite of their salmon taco.....YAIKS...fresh and scrumptious.. I wish I lived closer so I can go daily. .. but for sure it will be my destination every time I go south of the border or around the San Diego area. As I placed my order they offered me a complimentary delicious warm "consome" soup. Now, that is is customer service! I also tried the clams which I strongly recomend and my girlfriend had the shrimp in garlic sauce with a tangy chipotle sauce...delicious!!!!
