This was the first time we left our much loved, but spoilt, French Bulldogs Bacchus and Foggy, at Freyaleigh kennels. As every dog owner knows it's always a worry, when going on holiday, that your dog/s are going to be looked after properly. There was absolutely no need for concern as when we collected them we could see that they were very happy and that they really liked Rebecca who patiently waited for our late arrival ( flight delay and motorway traffic )We will always book Freyaleigh for any future trips without any worries and would recommend them to anyone who may be looking for an ideal 'holiday' for their dog. Just wanted to say how great the service was how well looked after my two cat were. My two cats can be very demanding but come back fine no stress would definitely recommend and use again thank you for looking after them so good.

Just wanted to thank you all for looking after Toffee and Bailey while we were away. We never have any doubts that our fur babies will be looked after when they are in your care. However, we thought you would like to know that Mum and Dad commented that "it is a lovely cattery" and "you can tell that they are well looked after, they obviously care about their animals". They told me that Toffee looked "right at home, looking out of the window!"Can't tell you how nice it is to hear those comments, and thought you would like to know it too. We've been using Freyaleigh kennels for nearly four years now , as we needed somewhere to leave Flash , my Border Collie in his 15th year , while we went away on holiday . He goes to stay several times each year and always gets a friendly welcome from Rebecca or Steve . He's looked after very well and with his advanced years now , he needs more care to cope with any medical problems he has . The Briggs famly would like to say a massive big thank you to Rebecca and Steve for the care and attention they gave to Martha our 5 month old British bulldog. We were very nervous leaving Martha as this was her first time away from home. She needs her face and tail to be cleaned everyday and this s no easy task, as she is a wriggler. We need not of worried. thank you Rebecca for all your time , care and attention, you did a fantastic job. We can highly recommend to everyone that their best friend(S) we receive the highest upmost care and attention whilst you are away. I think I am fairly well known within the Labrador/Kelrose Dog training community as the 10 year old black Labrador who got a spinal injury when I missed my footing jumping into the car a few years ago. I have been left with a disability which means I cannot properly control my back left leg and I am currently having hydrotherapy but need a degree of help. I can say that when I stay at Freyaleigh I get one to one support and have just had an upgrade to a big kennel with a personal carpet so my wayward leg can grip. I suppose if I had the choice I would have gone to Florida with my owners but as that is not possible Freyaleigh is the next best place to.be, or as the Americans would say, "Awesome!". My owners are well pleased - I come back in good condition, relaxed, and properly medicated! Much better than previous kennels! More...

My husband and I have been using Freyaleigh Kennels for nearly 5 years and we will not go anywhere else. We suspect if our dog Bailey could speak, he would speak as highly as we do about Rebecca and Steve and Freya and Leigh who we have also had the pleasure to meet. With their knowledge and experience with animals, Freyaleigh will always be our number one choice, as most pet owners know finding someone to love, respect and take care of our wonderful pets is the most important part of any holiday or short break. Freyaleigh was recommended to us by a friend who has used them several times over the last few years.We have several cats, two that require medication and one in particular requires a lot of looking after and attention. I first met Rebecca and Steve just after they moved to the area and took over ownership of the Kennels & Cattery. They worked incredibly hard and long hours to turn a run down tatty old kennel and cattery into a luxurious place for loved pets to stay while their owners are away. Absolutely nothing is too much for the guests in their care. Clean, disinfected kennels are a must and at Freyaleigh, kennels always look spotless. Recreation time for dogs is one to one with either Steve or Rebecca and this is a rare thing with many kennels. Guests are given the freedom to play off lead in the secure compound which is as spotless and safe as the kennels themselves.For the last 10+ years, Freyaleigh has been the first kennel I recommend when my clients, friends or aquaintances ask me to suggest a place for their pets to stay while they are away. I have always had glowing reviews from the people that have followed my recommendation and Freyaleigh will continue to be my number one recommendation hopefully for many years to come.
