These guys offer a range of services that can help renovate your home.I've used them myself to decorate my interior space and carry out building works, which they done to a good standard, and I can be rather particular when it comes to details. They assisted with selecting colours to match my tastes, and explained in good detail exactly what would be done so there wasn't any confusion. All in all a top notch team that can assist you with your projects, large or small. I had Fresh Look paint my kitchen/dining room, utility room and downstairs toilet. This was all done in a clean, timely manner and I am very pleased with the results. They repaired skirting boards from where my dog had chewed them to look like new and also repaired water damage. I would thoroughly recommend this company. More...

I used the freshlook team last year to help me renovate my 4 bedroom home and I’m very impressed with the attention to detail that they were able to achieve. I’m very particular with the decorating but have to say they gave me no cause for concern or callbacks. The work was carried out to a high standard throughout and I was given sound advice during the initial consultation with Peter to help me choose a colour scheme that matched my tastes, settling on a range of Farrow and Ball colours that look fantastic. They’ll be coming back later this year to modernise my bathroom and shower area which I look forward to as they’re clean, reliable and honest.Having found them initially by searching the web I will happily recommend their services to my friends and family without hesitation. Team turned up on time and communicated at all stages. I got my dining room and hallway stripped back and painted. The patterned wallpaper on the chimney breast did not phase them and it lines up perfectly.
The woodwork also looks brand new. They also made sure everything was left as tidy as possible. Very helpful and friendly.

Great work from start to finish, I had the guys in to take care of my Electrical upgrades and Decorating earlier this year.

The results were first class and work was carried out in a clean and tidy manner with my home being left in a good condition each evening when I arrived home.

I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend the Freshlook Team to help with your project.

Peter was able to start quickly and to access and bring in as many decorators as needed to do the job. Usefully he is also very handy at plumbing and plastering, with a passion for detail.

Q&A

You'd want to check the foundations first, to see if they're up to scratch. Also depending on the scale of the garage or conversion you might need to apply for planning permission, especially if you're converting it into a seperate dwelling when you'll need to file a change of use

Also looking at the garage structure itself does it house utlilities? Will it need new feeds sending to it from the main supplies? And what type of roof it has on it ie: a flat roof, corrugated sheet, asbestos, or a pitched roof? Are the walls structurally sound or thick enough for what you have in mind?

Are you aiming to have just a single storey conversion or a two storey?

These are all questions you'd need to answer before making an accurate decision, obviously your budget may dictate what you do with the space and planning regs may be applicable when you live in a listed building or a conservation area.

In some cases a planning condition may mean that a garage has to stay just as that, to be used for parking cars and storing stuff not as an extra room or bigger kitchen.

Architect Drawings and Planning Applications
Strengthening works, ground works and roof replacments if needed
Reconfigure structural aspects of layout if applicable
Insulation of flooring, change of height of flooring works
Windows and doors moved and new ones fitted to make the structure watertight
Running of utilities and any first fix of the electrics
Plastering
Decorating
Woodwork and decorative faeatures
Flooring
Builders Clean

First and foremost you would need to inspect the area, check the layout and see if there is enough space to make it useable.
Consider that when doing so ceiling height is especially important!

Next you'll want to see what condition your roof itself is in, is it watertight? Does it have a felt backing or some type of insulation on it already?
If there are leaks or roof is not of good state to begin with then this would need sorting before you start thinking about a loft conversion.

Freshlook Property Services Ltd was formed in 2017, prior to that we have extensive experience working for other companies as either an employee or a contractor, accumulating over 20 + years of experience between us. During this time we have learnt from some very talented individuals and we are big on keeping up to date with our own self-development and actively seek courses and workshops to attend.

All of our work is backed up by our Freshlook Guarantee for your own peace of mind, we also have a Public Liability Policy with £5 million in cover not just the bare minimum of £1 million like most others would choose.

The satisfaction in seeing a project through from start to finish and knowing that we've made a real difference to somebodies home and indeed their life.

Knowing that our work has been completed to high standards and will last the test of time gives me immense pride and enthusiasm for the job.

Variety is the spice of life as they say and having the range of jobs and clients certainly makes our weeks more enjoyable, from decorating staircases to installing bathrooms, wallpapering a lounge to carrying out an electrical rewire.

Freshlook was born out of the need to provide a great experience for the customer from start to finish, seeing that there was a demand to service clients at every level we decided to take the plunge and haven't looked back since.

Our reputation and reviews on other platforms alongside word of mouth referrals has seen us consistently grow the business and generate tons of happy customers along the way.

We plan and manage all aspects of your project so that you can worry about something else.

Having just one point of contact for all works is a real selling point for our customers so you don't have to try and remember everyone's names, phone numbers and when they're due to come in as often when they try to do it themselves it can end in tears.

From the initial consultation right through to signing off on completion we are happy to assist you along the way, ensuring the process is as smooth as it can be and causes minimal disruption to your daily life

Services

This service is to help you bring your properties electrical system up to date and inline with current legislation, it will also allow for you to choose exactly how many plug sockets and lights you can have. Once you know the exact amount of points and positioning we can then get started on the work, it's better if the property is vacant when this is being carried out as we have to lift floorboards up to run cables, chase walls out and make a bit of mess. Following on from our 'first fix' the walls will then require bonding and plastering/ making good, which is another sevice we can offer you, this needs to be carried out before we come back to 'second fix' and complete our installation of your new electrical system.
