This was a surprisingly decent dining option inside our non-descript hotel near the Calgary airport. This is a good thing, as the only other option around was a Tim Horton’s about 3/4 mile away. My wife got spaghetti with Bolognese, and she said it was good. I had what they called a Brasa sandwich which the menu said was spicy and the pleasant server said was very spicy. It was only mildly so, but it was still filled with flavor. I would order it again, but will likely never have the chance. This is the only restaurant in a group of new hotels along Freeport Crescent. I thought I would give it a try this evening, after a long day of travel. The restaurant is separated by a hallway into a dining room and a lounge area. Since I was alone, I selected the lounge as it seemed a bit brighter and had some television to gaze at and windows to gaze out.The menu offers a variety of choices - I felt like something simple, so ordered the Cheeseburger Deluxe. The Wyndham is my go to spot for an overnight stay in Calgary. The rooms are spacious, clean and the beds heavenly. Their restaurant @FreeportFoodandDrink is a delightful surprise. You will return.

Having to stay here because our flight was cancelled,front desk staff not very pleasant as if it was a task to book us in ! had to explain to the young lady it was beyond our control and i didnt want to be here ,but none the less here we are . the Accountant Lady was very helpful even though it was not her job she wanted to help us,which goes to show that even management dint mind helping out. the rooms are immaculate with everything you need,my only other bad point was that there was no good available around lunchtime as they don't open till 1600hrs tried explaining we had been up early on the morning, but had no desired effect. We stayed in what was supposed to be a w/c accessible room on the 2nd floor. I’d like to make a couple of very important suggestions: - instead of 2 queen beds, make it one queen or one king. There was absolutely no room to pull a wheelchair up beside the bed to get into a bed. Fortunately I use a scooter with a tight turning radius, so could turn past the cabinet in between the 2 beds. No access to the closet. With one bed, the room would be perfect - big with lots of room. - have the bathroom door open out, not inward. With the corner wall behind the door, it blocked access to the toilet. Again, I could barely squeeze in to get to the toilet. - make the door to the room a lot lighter (lessen the spring strength) - the laundry room had 2 washers with 2 dryers on top. No way a person in a Wheelchair could reach a dryer. Put one on the lower/floor. The wheel-in shower was perfect! We had a breakfast buffet both mornings. It was exactly the same both days. The second day (today, Oct 21/18) the food was cold - not even Luke-warm coming from the warmers. The staff checked and said they were hot, but the food was not. I had mine warmed up in microwave, which did that, but also made it dry. It’s a good price and variety, but was not enjoyable. We had supper in the Freeport Food & Drink - good variety, good food, good prices. Room was clean and beds and pillows were comfortable. I would stay there again, but not with 2 Qn beds. I tried to tell the front counter when I left but she really wasn’t interested - just gave me the manager’s business card. More...

this was our last stop of our wonderful road trip. unfortunately it didnt get off to the best start but was sorted straight away. we booked in and found someone in what was meant to be our room reported back to reception and they moved us to another room which clearly hadnt been cleaned. after speaking to reception again they were very apologetic and upgraded our room which was lovely. we enjoyed our stay staff friendly and helpful. if i was to feedback any negatives we were a little disappointed with housekeeping on the last morning we had a very long journey back to uk my partner left at 630am due to returning to work and we weremt due to leave till 11am but were interrupted twice by housekeeping first time no knock just trying to enter the room and second time around 30/40mins later knocking again asking when we were leaving so they could clean personally thought was rude when we werent due to leave till 11. other than that our room and service was great thankyou xx More...

Great hotel. Great spacious room for the price. We really enjoyed the steam shower. Room was very clean. The bed was absolutely comfortable. We did not get a chance to use the pool area so can’t comment on that. The food was good. Location is great; just off the Deerfoot Trail just south of Stony Trail, and minutes from the airport. Staff was wonderful. An all around good experience. Would highly recommend the Wyndham Garden Calgary Airport hotel to all my friends and family. More...

We were one of the first aircrews from our airline to stay at the hotel since switching locations. Ilian (Director of Sales) met us late at the airport to make sure we knew where to go. He rolled out the red carpet of service on our arrival. The other staff members had the same dedication as Ilian. For air crews that’s a huge help after a long day in the skies! Friendly staff. Interesting food options and wine. Decor is good but light is really bright even into the evening. Would be better with dimmer lights at night so u can watch the airplane fly by the window and create a more mellow/relaxing mood.

Very nice property and comfortable rooms ! Only disappointment was I booked a king room and when I checked in they said they had no King pet friendly rooms ! Then I mentioned it the next day and the front seat lady pretended like she never heard me ! I would consider staying again though as it’s a nice hotel ! More...
