Q&As

In a digital age, where more people are browsing the web on mobile devices; websites need to be responsive, creative and clickable. Thinking outside the box is an absolute must. Your website is your virtual shop window, an exciting display of what you have to offer. It has to look great, work well and sell. More importantly it has to get people to take action.

Who are you? What do you do? Who do you do it for? Why are you better than those that also do what you do? Lot's more questions... if you want to hear them - just ask for my client questionnaire.

Seven steps to success - my design process:

1. Consult & Book - We would have a meet or call/catch up (or emails - whichever you prefer) to say hello and form a bit of a brief
(we'll discuss things such as timescales and turnover, design do's and don'ts, target audience, how you wish to present the business/idea/product and more)

2. Deposit - A deposit of 60% will be required for all new customers prior to our start date, which will secure your time in my diary - with 40% due on completion of work.

4. Design - I would do my magic… research, conceptualise and design whatever is required and proof it to you by the date proposed.

5. Deliberate - You would deliberate and feedback your thoughts and amendments.

6. Develop - I carry out any text and/or visual amendments where applicable.

7. Finalise - I re-proof and then we confirm the final design. From which I will supply press-ready artwork.

I find this helps the customer understand the overall working process. the creative process, is much more in depth, but can be discussed in more detail if required. Please, if you have any questions - just ask.

I will need a brief outline of the work required, as well as the completion of a creative brief - which is something I send to all new clients. This can be sent once a client agrees that they are interested in my carry out the creative work for them.

Creating wonderful things, for wonderful people - and then seeing those wonderful things bring their business to life.

I was inspired to become a freelancer, when I became a mum of one. And decided that freelancing around family life is what I wanted to do. Now that the little one isn't so little anymore (he's 4 and starting school!) freelancing takes up a LOT more of my time, which is great and what I love to do.

“There are three responses to a piece of design – yes, no and WOW! Wow is the one I aim for.”
– Milton Glaser

In every design project my approach is slightly different, depending on client requirements – but my goals remain the same; to create something visual and engaging, yet simple and purposeful.

Something that will wow… every, single, time.
