What do you love most about your job?
my passion has always been measured building surveys and technical drawing for extensions, loft conversions, garage conversions and new build which i have been doing now for 28 years from leaving school at 16 and attending college part time whilst working within architectural practices learning my trade for the ONC and HNC qualifications in building and surveying. i then decided to go self-employed / freelance in 2006 partly to spend more time with my children and work with a number of companies freelance for the variety of work on offer and the experience. i love meeting clients and putting the world to rights and listening to their dreams for improving their homes. every house i visit is a new interesting opportunity for me and i still love my job now as much if not more than i did when i first started!

the freedom to choose who i work with, job satisfaction and have more family quality time

i am a friendly person, passionate about what i do, dedicated to the job in hand and i produce clear, concise survey, planning and building regulation drawings (so i have been told by architects i have worked with and builders)
Measured Building Surveys
attend site and measure the property to produce existing plans, elevations, sections and immediate drainage/boundaries etc. the survey drawings are required for planning and building regulations applications and to work from in order to prepare the proposed drawings for your extension or conversion. the drawings are produced in Autocad.
Planning Drawings and Applications
Planning, Listed Building and Certificate of Lawfulness Applications for 'Permitted Development' submitted to the Local Authority with presentation drawings of the proposals and required documentation. the drawings are produced in Autocad.
Building Regulation Drawings and Applications
Detailed technical drawings prepared along with a drawing notes document showing compliance with the building regulations and the Building Regulations Application submitted to the Local Authority for approval. the drawings are produced in Autocad.
Freelance Help to Architects and Surveyors
i am available to help Architectural and Surveying Companies during busy periods with all aspects of measured surveying and AutoCAD drawing preparing survey drawings, scheme drawings, planning drawings ready for applications and building regulation drawings for applications as well as 3D google sketchup drawings.
