We used Darren for our wedding in July. He was great, came the day before to set up which was helpful. Offered to come early on the day to set up background music for during the meal and we asked for microphones for the speeches (which we didn't end up using, sorry Darren! ) but everything was never too much trouble. He even worked with the band we hired to create a set up which worked for them all.The music he used was a good mix of up to date and some older tracks which was great to appeal to everyone. What’s the secret to keeping a party dancing all night long?
Taking note of the style of music people are dancing to and predicting what they will dance to next, this comes with many years experience. Also requests help.
How would you describe your ‘style’?
Mainly commercial music. I play stuff from all eras and tastes, which helps keep things varied, especially at times of having a mixed age group.
What do you love most about your job?
Sounds like a cop out answer, but pretty much every aspect of what I do I love, that's why I do what I do. Meeting new people, aswell as the regulars. The buzz of having a busy dance floor, knowing I'm making people happy.
What inspired you to start your own business?
I've grown up around music and entertainment. My Dad was in a band, my godfather was a DJ and entertainer on holiday parks, which is how I got my first job. My Mum always had music on, so it's kind of in my blood.
Why should our clients choose you?
Experienced, fun, always happy to go the extra mile. I always keep up to date with my equipment, music etc. I’m flexible to cater for all kinds of functions and events.
