I have attended a couple bootcamp and yoga classes with F.R.E.E., along with their blood drives, and every time I showed up I felt welcomed. The classes were made challenging enough to enjoy, but not so hard that it wasn't doable. There was always someone there for support and encouragement. Definitely recommend if you're looking for a great community to join to improve your fitness. I really want to share how happy I am and how I have improved working with Tony as my personal trainer for more then a year. When I started, I was not able to climb even one set of stairs without huffing and puffing. Since then, I have improved so much that I even managed to climb the 998 steps of the “ Great Wall of China in Beijing over the summer and managed to walk between 18 K to 20k steps comfortably during my vacation.Thank you to F.R.E.E. I am the type of person who hates meeting new people or going places alone, so when I first started going to F.R.E.E. Fitness, I was terrified. I sat in my car for 10 minutes trying to decide if I should walk in that gym or not. Luckily I did!! When I walked in I was greeted at the door by Don He, My trainer. (he still meets me at the front door EVERY TIME because I am still so shy.) It is because of Don that I show up, and that I will continue to show up!! If I had the chance to choose my personal trainer myself, I would definitely pick Don. He is very kind, up beat and he truly cares about his clients, he gives you his full attention the entire time (as a trainer should). Amazing gym with personalized training and a warm and welcoming atmosphere! Everyone there wants to see you do great, succeed and meet your goals. I'm so glad I walked through those gym doors! The nurses workout on Tuesdays and Thursdays is awesome. Tony focuses on specific issues or injuries you may run into as a nurse, and we work on improving strength, flexibility, and posture in those areas. He is also very attentive to client specific issues if you have had previous injuries. I would definitely recommend, and I enjoyed meeting other nurses! More...

Tony has made my experience going to the gym so personable and enjoyable. I’ve been to a lot of gyms and there is non comparable to F. R.E.E Fit. Tony’s commitment and dedication to his clients and business is felt throughout. I recently started attending the group workout they offer for nurses (on Tuesday and Thursday evenings), and have been so impressed by this gym. I felt welcomed by the staff from the moment I walked in. Even within a group setting, Tony is attentive to the needs and abilities of each individual participant. Also, this class is tailored to develop the strength and endurance we require as nurses, which I think is so important!I've also had my first personal training session with Don! During the session he completed a thorough intake assessment, including asking about my general fitness routine, any injuries, and my goals. He then assessed my strength and mobility to assist with his development of a workout plan. I've been with FREE Fitness for almost a month now and am so glad that I decided to join! I was looking for a new gym, one with a fun and social environment and surrounded by people who motivate you to reach your goals and to live a healthier lifestyle. I decided to try personal training for Olympic Lifting and I wanted someone to help me reach my goals of 1. Becoming stronger 2. Working on technique 3. Someone who is flexible with my schedule 4. Someone who is fun. Max met all of those on our first trial day! Its been awesome working with him and learning from him so far into my program and I count down the days until I get to come back to the gym to train!Everytime I step into the gym, I meet someone new whether it be the personal trainers or the usual's that come to workout. It really is like a family feel in there and that's exactly what I love about this place. I started the free trial with F.R.E.E. in October, and since then I have been hooked! One thing that really drew me to get the personal training sessions was not just the knowledgeable and friendly trainers, but the fact that they have a "pay how you feel" kind of motto. Which really puts a client first kind of perspective to their gym, versus a we want your money kind of thing... Which has been my experience with many past gyms. My first interaction was on the phone with Tony. He was super friendly and informative. He was able to answer all the questions that I had, because of course I thought that there had to be a catch! I recently just signed on with another set of sessions with my trainer, Liam. So far it has been excellent, and I am really seeing a lot of results. I really like how Liam takes the time to understand what my goals are and design a fitness strategy that works for me. I tend to get bored at the gym, and when I see him I definitely do not get bored. I feel the burn! I read a review about F.R.E.E Fitness and decided to DM for additional information immediately before I chickened out. It has been years since I have walked into a gym and the thought of it was very scary for me; to the point that I almost backed out last minute. Tony was my first point of contact and he immediately put me at ease. After we discussed my goals he put me in contact with Don who I have now been working with twice a week for just under a month.This is the first time ever that I actually look forward to going to a gym and actually working out. Don structures each session so that it is both challenging but still attainable. I don't feel judged but I do feel encouraged, motivated and accepted. While I still have a long ways to go in attaining my weight loss goals, in such a short period of time I am already reaching some non scale goals. I am a type ll diabetic and this year my numbers have been higher than they have ever been which was really alarming for me. I am nearing 4 weeks of clean eating (not dieting per say, but eating actual whole foods I prepare and don't stop at a drive-thru for!) and exercising and my numbers are amazing. I have never been able to get my fasting number under a 9 or 10 before and now it is a consistent 6! This excites me and helps keep me motivated and on track.If you're thinking about joining a gym and getting personal 1 on 1 training, F.R.E.E Fitness is awesome. I have been going to to F.R.E.E for just over 3 months now and have only had positive experiences. From the facility itself, which is clean and well maintained, to the wonderful staff who greet me by name every time I come in. It's a small community that really feels like family. I've been going here for a couple months now after struggling to find a gym in the city where the atmosphere was atleast tolerable. Stumbled across f.r.e.e. and I won't be going anywhere else. Have been using the "open gym" and it's an absolutely great experience, they have all different kind of equipment. Everybody, clients and trainers, are all so welcoming and just happy to be there. This is the place to go when your waist circumference way exceeds what the Heart & Stroke Foundation recommends or when you get short of breath trying to get to the departure gate to catch your flight or even just to bend down to pull weeds from the garden because your belly fat pushes against your lungs. Many years of not being active and poor eating habits have devastatingly taken its toll. Tony is an excellent trainer and has been helping me feel, look and move better. I am absolutely in love with this gym! Tony was the first person I talked to about wanting to start personal training. He is very kind, friendly, and easy to talk to. After having a conversation he helped me determine which trainer would be the perfect fit for me. I have been working out with Don now for 3 weeks and I have truly loved every second of it. They truly value making personal training financially accessible so everyone can have access to developing a healthier life style - whatever your goals may be. The gym is super clean, with an open, fun atmosphere. There is always good music playing and the BEST part is people can bring their dogs to the gym! You get a good work out and some puppy love! I have the most amazing trainer that’s part of the FREE Fitness family! We’ve been training together for 9 years now and I couldn’t imagine anyone better for me Since day one he’s tailored my work outs to match the areas I need to work on at the time. The free fit facility makes me feel like “ Rocky” training for a fight. In fact we play the soundtrack once in a while when we box. Lol!!! Great friendly knowledgeable team.I went for the Summer Sweat event at CrossFit 5413 this weekend with a friend and had a great time. The staff made sure we had correct form before doing the exercises.I didn't think I would ever try CrossFit in my life but had to try it since it was free.Now I want more and to try more F.R.E.E Fit events/bootcamps.I always use the excuse that I can't afford to workout but now there is a place that makes fitness affordable!!! F.R.E.E Fitness is amazing! Tony and Tyler came into our office for a "sports day" event we were holding, and they were everyone's favourite part of the day! We did some physical activity to get warmed up and learned about different stretches and exercises you can do to alleviate pain from sitting in an office chair all day. Everyone left feeling great and learned something new! I got so many compliments for bringing such an amazing team into the office, and am so happy they were able to attend our day. I debated on getting a personal trainer for a while and I couldn't be happier that I chose to contact F.R.E.E. Fitness and have Don as my trainer. Due to my history of acetabular labrum tear, ankle sprain and mild scoliosis, I was concerned about injuring myself while working out. Don took time to listen to my concerns and adjust my postures and forms to ensure that I perform pain free. I’m a sedentary overweight 55 year old female. I started training with Don He a month ago. My golf game has improved without even trying. I’m more flexible and stronger. I can lift my legs higher so getting dressed is easier. I didn’t realize how decrepit I was, until I noticed I can do things more easily now. This is just after 1 month. Where do I begin? I went in for a business meeting and left with a plan for my own wellness goals and boat loads of encouragement from Tony! He set me up with Liam, one of the trainers. I'm very new to proper exercise and have a tailbone injury which hasn't been honoured at previous gyms, making working out scary for me. Liam sat for about an hour with me going over my goals, accountability and setting expectations on both sides. My first few sessions have felt SAFE, challenging and always leave me hungry for more. Each trainer I've met in passing have been so welcoming and it truly is a no judgment zone. Their philosophy that wellness should be accessible to everyone is what drew me in and their motivational words, experience and open communication will keep me going back. Going to F.R.E.E Fitness has been one of the best choices I’ve made for my health! I started training with Don two months ago and he has already helped me tremendously with my fitness goals. I have been constantly at odds with my joints over the last 10 years and happened to stumble upon Ty Khan in my search for a suitable fitness routine for my (easily battered) self. I went to our first session letting him know, "I can't squat because it hurts my knees, always has done". He watched a few squats, during which I complained the whole time about pain, gave me a few simple instructions, and literally the next squats I did had no pain at all. I was astounded. I have hyperflexibility and, when I met Ty, was honestly struggling with simple things like walking up stairs without twinges and pain. But every time we'd come to a move where there was pain he knew exactly how to change what I was doing to avoid it and educated me so I can navigate it myself even now that I'm across the world. He has given me the ability to understand my own movements and make small corrections in my daily life that have allowed me to go further into fitness with no fear. He honestly changed my life, I say that to everyone who asks, he gave me back my mobility and my confidence in my abilities as an athlete. Not to mention I can go to the gym, lift weights, and not feel out of place because I know my form is on point ;) Thanks Ty. Much Love. I love free fitness! You see them everywhere, because they are really involved in the community, which is FANTASTIC. That's how I found out about them, and decided to start training with them. As a pole fitness instructor, I had a lot of upper body and core strength, but my leg strength and lift technique needed improvement. I was hooked up with Ty, and he helped me progress in my form so much over the next few months while working with him. I now feel a lot more confident about my lifts and what I'm doing - so thank-you so much! Going into the gym feels like an absolute community here.
