About

I passionately believe that every body has the ability to heal itself. Sometimes, however, you need a specialist to nudge you towards awareness and change.

The cells that make up your body have an innate knowledge. So when your body falls into physical, mental, or emotional pain because of various stresses, it displays symptoms.

Leah did a great job working on challenging and tight parts of my body. She used firm pressure, and asked me to help her dial in how much pressure she was using. Though the massage was intense, I felt very relaxed. I especially appreciated the upper chest massage, which helped release my shoulders and neck. More...

I worked with Leah, as a mentee to her coaching for 4 months. She has a tremendous amount of health and wellness experience and amazingly, can articulate actionable steps to organize, set goals and grasp the big and small picture of in what direction I want my life to go. I use strategies that she provided every single day and with her help, I've cultivated new, positive habits for growing my business and taking care of myself. Leah is phenomenal to work with and I am so grateful for my time spent collaborating and learning with her. More...

I had been having back pain riding a road bike. I was seen by a PT who accurately diagnosed the problem muscle. I next had a professional bike fitting that uncovered why that particular muscle was aggravated, but I was still having next day discomfort following a ride. I made a first ever appointment with Leah to have her focus on the inflamed muscle with massage. She not only did this, but also found by a thorough massage that my hamstrings were contributing to the problem. She did a great job working on the trigger points in my calves and hamstrings. The next day I rode pain free and have done so for several weeks. Highly recommended! More...

I was super tense and had to book a massage.  Not any massage though, many times I've booked a "deep tissue" massage somewhere new and left even more tense because it was fraudulent.  The reviews here convinced me that I would have a much better experience so I booked a 90 minute appointment on their website.  It was super easy to do.  I rode the 8 miles from work directly to Free Bodied and Kami was ready for me immediately. I told her I like it deep and that my chest and shoulder blades have been super tense.  She did not go easy on me, it was fantastic, I needed it to be a little painful.  At some points (glutes, upper arm) I was tempted to tell her to go lighter since it hurt but I just focused on my breathing and I am glad I didn't.  This is a short walk from my apartment.  I will come again.  She even taught me some stretches at the end that I can do anywhere.  She also made me realize that my posture is in my control and the way I've been holding myself is why I am so tense. I went to Free Bodied yesterday after seeing the great reviews on Yelp, and my experience was 5 stars. It was clear from minute 1 that Zina knew what she was doing and was a great listener of what my muscles needed. I walked in hunched, tight with a headache in dire need of  work on my neck back and shoulders from a really stressful week. I walked out feeling light as air. I really appreciated being able to make an appointment online, and the process was smooth and easy. More...

I had an appt. with Leah a few weeks ago and she was awesome.  It was one of the best massages I've ever had & I've had 100's of them.  She did trigger point massage with a focus on my lower back which has given me pain for a number of years.  I felt better right away and even better a few days later.  I wished she worked in the S.F. Bay Area, but will definitely see her again when I return to S. Lake City.  Highly recommended!!! More...

Leah is a massage magician. I don't get in as often as I would like but she is the best massage therapist I have been to. To me, I find her work to be more therapeutic than most massages, which tend to focus only on relaxation . I actually feel better, more aligned and improved, when I leave Free Bodied. Also, I love her online appointment system and she follows up via email a couple days later to see how things are going. I can't recommend her enough. More...

Leah is a miracle worker! I love good massages and normally see another person regularly (I'm very loyal...but for Leah, I may switch! ).  I had injured my shoulder very badly from an extremely heavy purse that I carried around all day.  It was so bad, I couldn't raise my arm above my head and I was really worried that I would be unable to work for a few days because it hurt so bad to move it or to lift anything.  I actually was contemplating going to doctor for xrays or something just to make sure I didn't dislocate it.So I go to see Leah, who I met recently and thankfully could get me in sooner than my other masseuse.  I was totally amazed...this was no fluffy, puffy massage...but really a therapeutic, problem-fixing, pleasant experience.  Her movements were targeted, not too heavy and never painful (I was very tender and sore).  I left her office feeling worlds better than when I came in.  Also, I am usually exhausted after my regular massage...but Leah's treatment left me feeling invigorated and refreshed, not groggy and out of it.  The next day, I woke up and my arm was nearly back to normal.  2 days it was 100% fixed!  Amazing!!!  I will definitely go back to Leah the next time I injure myself or need to gently work the kinks out of my body. Q&As

It's definitely important, but there are underlying issues for why someone might not be eating the way they know they should. Also, the internet is rife with conflicting information on diets/nutrition/etc, and it's important to understand that every person is quite different in what they need. Much of what I do helping my clients hone their intuition around foods that will fuel them instead of harm them. I don't think other health coaches or nutritionists are doing much of that, and I find it very important for my clients in their life journey to have honed their intuition around their wellbeing.

Seeing a client's face (even over skype!) after just a few months of working together when it gets that glow- that glow that says, I have more energy to put towards things I love to do, I now have the tools to carry me through the rest of my life, and I am excited for what comes next!

I love my freedom- to make my own hours, and also to not be beholden to some other business's idea of what I should be doing. I don't need the bureaucracy to get in my way or waste time.

I have been through the gamut of health issues (digestive, emotional, mental, etc), and I'm a teacher at heart. I incorporate a whole system approach, instead of just tackling one thing (I do help clients make gradual changes, tackling one thing at a time), so I provide nutritional/physical, emotional, mental, and spiritual support. And I am able to lead my clients through a system that works and is sustainable.

Services

Leah is an Integrative Nutrition Health Coach, wife, mother, and healer. She has guided hundreds of clients to achieve their health goals- like increasing energy, relieving anxiety and depression, relieving IBS and digestive issues, clearing up skin, and relieving pain.

On this call, I'll get to know your pains, goals, and health history. Then I'll create a strategy for you to move forward to achieve your goals.

I'd work with you to unlock your health potential by getting to the root cause of your symptoms. There is an epidemic of over-prescribing instead of implementing a diet and lifestyle plan that sees a person as a whole person, not a sum of her parts or symptoms. With you, I'd uncover that much needed personalized plan and help you implement it with support and accountability.

Leah only works with a limited number of clients at a time, so that each person gets the support and attention they deserve.
