Here at Freckles and bows photography, we have created packages for each special occasion. From newborn, babies first year, all the way to family shoots & weddings. However don’t worry if the packages don’t suit you, we can create personal & unique sessions. Newborn, baby & family photography sessions are held wherever you and/or your children feel comfortable from home, nearby park, fields of flowers even the beautiful beaches of Cornwall & Devon. It really doesn’t matter just so long as it is a place that you enjoy & can get those smiley personalities out.

FOR BABIES, shooting at your home makes the experience a lot more comfortable for you and your bundle of joy; we can also keep your baby in their routine, in familiar surroundings. At freckles & bows photography we supply different outfits however if you have a theme or special outfit you are welcome to use that instead, you can feature their nursery and introduce they’re favourite toys. Play and have fun all around.



TIMING & DATES

Maternity photography sessions are best held between 32 and 35 weeks. When your bump is nice and round.

New Born, ideally these sessions are best as soon after birth as possible, within the first 14 days is preferable as this enables baby to be posed and soothed more easily. Obviously, it depends on how you feel after your journey from bump to baby. If you are not ready within the first 14 days we can still have a great session. When booking your date, It is advisable to book a provisional date in my diary around 2/3 months before your due date. As most babies don’t arrive on time we can alter this accordingly.

Baby, maternity & family photography session’s can last between 1 to 2 hours. For the newborn photography session around 3-4 hours, in which time we have cuddles and feeds and more cuddles!

The time invested at your session is only a small part of the time involved in the whole process. Generally I prefer to shoot either early morning or late afternoon in summer; Midday would be fine in winter, when it is not too cloudy outdoor, I shoot only in natural light this is only applicable to Locational shoots, sessions arranged at home are anytime, any day. It’s also possible to reschedule your sessions that are affected by weather.

Freckles and bows is now photographing wedding within the southwest & whether you want us all day or part of the day, require an album or just simply want your photographs on a CD, the choice is yours.
