My husband Brian and I booked singer pauline alexander, sandy and stephen for music during our ceremony on saturday the 19th may, I am from ireland and I requested very difficult irish songs and pauline performed and sang so beautifully, there wasnt a dry eye in the room, everyone praised her singing so highly after the ceremony, saying it was the most touching and heartfelt authentic music, we are forever grateful and thankful for the gift they gave ys on our wedding day, I highly highly recommend pauline, sandy and stephen and to book through freak music, because its a brilliant website to use xxxxx

We hired Brian Kelly for our Mum’s 80th Birthday party and he was great. He accommodated all our needs, arriving promptly, setting up quickly without fuss while we were putting finishing touches to decorations etc. He played a good mix of songs suitable to all age groups and fitted in with our meal timings. We hired Vintage 80s for a charity night in January. They were fantastic, so accommodating and an excellent band. I would definitely have Vintage 80s again, they had everyone up dancing and the music was great. I would also use Freak Music as I felt confident that, was there a problem (which there definitely wasn't), using a booking agent would make it easier. I spoke to a couple of people at Freak Music and they were very friendly, even contacting me to see how my event had gone. Kath and her fellow band members were very friendly too. Also, both Freak Music and Vintage 80s were very kind when I had to postpone my event due to my parents both passing away in a short space of time, allowing me to move my booking to a different date without further cost. You would expect that, under the circumstances, this would happen, but I know that isn't always the case with other companies. The Jim Jam Ceilidh Band completely rocked our 161st Birthday Party and they were a tough crowd with lots of noisy chatting folk to have to command. Their music selection was fantastic and they were just a young and attractive bunch altogether. Heartily recommend. Just sad, as host, not get more dancing in! We hired the Ugly Bug Ragtime Three for our ceremony and drinks reception. The band played as a classical 2 piece for the ceremony which was lovely, before the 3 piece came together to play 20s and 30s jazz style for our drinks reception. We booked The Delectables for our wedding- we were looking for a band to offer the music for the canopies (jazz duo) the band of about 6/7 and the djing in-between! It was absolutely fantastic what the band offered and the standard of music!! the dance floor was heaving from the first song and there was lots of crowd surfing by the end. We particularly wanted a soul band and during our seemingly endless search of bands we were just drawn to Freak Music and the band Junction 2! They played at our evening wedding reception earlier this month. Good reviews usually state pros and cons however, the band genuinely do not have any cons! They were professional from the onset, sounded incredible, looked incredible, great repertoire, were brilliant fun and had our wedding party rockin'!!! From start to finish they had our guests on their feet, we loved every minute! Exactly what we wanted! We booked The Roustabouts for a Poldark themed party we held for my husbands sixtieth birthday. We wanted something fitting with the theme of the party yet a bit wacky too. The band were perfect and really entered into the spirit of the evening, both in the way they dressed to the music they played. We had a mix of people at the party: teens through to oldies, but everyone agreed they were one of the best party bands they had seen. The Roustabouts were lovely: very entertaining, and got everyone on the floor. After the dancing ended they gave us a spectacular fire performance in our garden as the weather was good, to round of the evening. I hired Fonz and the Poet for my daughters wedding. The bride and groom were unaware of the booking and the lads moved all their gear and setup up without giving anything away. They played Ed Sheeran's "Perfect" for the first dance and my daughter believed it was a recording until the curtains were opened. The surprise was fantastic. The lads were prompt, professional and courteous all evening, I would highly recommend them to anyone who needs to book a band for a wedding. There repertoire was superb and guests are still talking about how fantastic they were. Freak Music were easy to contact, prompt in replying and providing all information needed making the process smooth and stress free (much needed at the time), I would recommend them. We used Scotia string quartet for our weddings on 5th August. Unfortunately they were very nearly late for the wedding only turning up shortly before me which is why I've only given them 4. They weren't there to play our guests in and I know my husband was panicking however when they did play their music was fantastic. They played a great range of modern songs and classics and I loved walking down the aisle to their music. We had them playing during the drinks reception also and lots of our guest commented on how nice the music was so thank you!!! We booked HitPinch for our wedding last month and they went down a storm! The lead-singer has an amazingly raunchy voice & the musicians were so full of energy.
