Nine years ago Francis photographed our wedding in Napa. He is a true artist! I love looking at my albums - we still have them out on our coffee table for guests to look through. He was able to put us at ease that day with his professionalism and sense of fun. I will always be grateful to him for capturing that day beautifully! It was so wonderful to work with Francis and he made this whole process so easy and enjoyable. Selecting him to be a part of our wedding to capture our memories was one of the best decisions we made. And the photos? Absolutely fantastic!!! Also, my husband and I had a whole bunch of friends and family members comment on "what a wonderful photographer we had." I could not recommend Francis Baker more! I put off having my picture taken for as long as possible as it is not my favorite thing to do by a long shot. But even I began to accept that an updated business photo was in order. I went to Yelp to find a photographer, only to notice that quite a few had 5 stars. In trying to figure out which photographer to choose, I went to their individual websites to see for myself the photos they produce. Francis Baker’s portfolio was by far superior in my opinion. . . people looked natural, not posed or gimmicky, and in fact they looked like people I would like to know. As I liked Francis’s approach and demeanor, I decided to work with him. I found Francis to be very thoughtful and pleasant throughout. Francis picked a location and we set a time to meet within the week. I could not have been more at ease during the photo shoot. Francis was an absolute pleasure to work with! I live in southern California, so I had to communicate with him via email, and he was always quick to respond; he also offered speaking over the phone if I had the time to do so. On the day of the wedding at the San Francisco City Hall (we had a civil ceremony), he was punctual, and even early, while WE were actually running late. He had great ideas, and even though we were exhausted from the drive up the day before, he was very patient, even when our 5 year old daughter became hungry. We all went down to their cafeteria, and he actually captured us ordering, our treck back up, and our daughter eating. He literally took pictures down to the very end. I loved and actually really appreciated the posed and candid moments because he didn't just get the wedding, he captured the adventure. I'm a very calculated individual, aside from the rare incident that we were late on the day of... He gave me a timeline of when he'd have our pictures ready, and he definitely delivered! I'm so glad we decided to take the idea of having a civil service wedding ceremony up a notch and go to the GORGEOUS San Francisco city hall, then book Francis to capture our day, surrounded by all its beauty.
