Josephine's Essentrics classes have been a game changer for me. They've helped correct my posture, strengthen my entire body, unlock my hips and shoulders and given me the tools to live without chronic pain due to poor posture. Framewrk is one of the more memorable fitness studios we've been to, not only because the unique Essentrics™  class was a breath of fresh air that had us sculpting our lean dancer bods, but the space itself is so calm and serene you'll wanna namaste your day away while admiring the beautiful views of the Toronto skyline amungst the candles and the stars.

This beautiful studio is a bit of a trek for me, but if I lived closer, I'd be planning to visit every week! I heard about this location through Class Pass, which includes a wide variety of studios and gyms across the city. Framewrks studio is right beside the DVP in a large building that includes multiple commercial tenants. It's on the second floor - just follow the suite numbers and you'll find it easily.I'm particularly impressed by the Essentrics class offered here, which combines elements of Pilates, Tai Chi, dance, and physiotherapy! It's low impact and designed to enhance mobility, improve posture, and prevent injury. Seeing as how I'd like to stay active, Essentrics is ideal.The studio itself is bright, spacious, clean, and welcoming. The owner, Josephine, was a former instructor at the Energy eXchange (now closed), and she brings a wealth of experience with her. She asks new students about injuries and keeps a close eye during the class so that we get the most out of each sequence of movement. I recommend you ask lots of questions before starting the class to get the most out of your experience.Please note that there are no lockers here and the change room is unisex, but there are curtained-off areas for changing in private. There are two bathrooms near the studio, located down the hall and shared by other building tenants. You are welcome to bring your purse/valuables into the studio if you prefer. More...
