I got to spend a week here with my girlfriend as a birthday present from my parents. We'll start AFTER driving through the unlit roads hoping to find this place. The "fun" started with having to go to two different buildings to check in. Then, having to leave the core of the hotel property to get to the room we have. We couldn't even see the main resort from our room.

Now on to the room. It was just a step above a motel room. That step was the kitchenette. But the cheap furniture, hard-as-concrete mattress, and temperamental HVAC system. The TV in the room had non-functioning HDMI ports, so we were stuck watching basic cable. The window coverings weren't big enough for the window, letting light leak in from the sides EVERY morning. The bed, as mentioned before, was like sleeping on a padded concrete block. It wasn't until AFTER we had checked out, we could have gotten a mattress topper. It was nice to have the cooktop and dishwasher in the room, but the option of borrowing a toaster oven would have been nice.

We didn't get the option to try the restaurant or pool, as we didn't feel like getting in the car to use these in early November. We drove enough just getting either groceries or to the nearest town (Manitowoc). Both of these are around 15-20 minutes each way.

Now we also sent all these suggestions as our post-checkout opinion. Their offer: A free weekend for use between December and March 2018. For those who don't know this area's weather, snow is quite common. And since the drive for us was almost four hours, we said no. Maybe had we had a year to use it, might have. I know I can't complain too much as the stay was free, but then I feel bad that my parents wasted money.

So for my suggestions:
- If you're given a golf villa, ask for a normal villa unless you really like seclusion
- Plan your grocery trips well. 40 minute round trips gets old.
- If you have other options, stay at least in Manitowoc

Good food. Clean. Rooms are a bit outdated, but are adequate.

Nice get away from civilization. Free WiFi, pool and amazing whirlpool tubs.

My wife and I had our wedding there on September 2nd, 2017. Due to rain, the ceremony had to be moved to the chapel in inside. However, the entire staff especially the wedding coordinator, Heather, did a wonderful job turning the chapel into a beautiful and intimate setting. The ceremony and reception went beyond my expectations! Fantastic job by all!!!

The bar service was so poor... only 2 bartenders serving... my party of 4 waited 15 minutes at the bar.. and witnessed a very grumpy young lady wait on everyone else on both sides of us intentionally!!! We finally walked away.....
Very poor staffing and attitudes 😔

Spent a long weekend at Fox Hills recently with my extended family. Wonderful venue for a large gathering. Activities (and a very accommodating staff) for all ages. The food was great, the rooms were clean, bright, and beds very comfortable (stayed in a villa). Should you be so lucky as to have Alex as a server, you will feel like you are leaving family behind as you depart. All told a perfect weekend and can only imagine how beautiful it must look now in autumn.

It is a older hotel, that needs updates.. was there for a dart tournament, the beer was skunks on tap, so they switched and that wasn't the correct beer. The beer prices are over priced. But the staff was great, and the chicken sandwich and chicken dinner was awesome, the pizza is good too.

My parents bought a timeshare over 40 years ago and our family has a lot of great memories however once my father passed away we tried selling......6 years later and still no luck...
You would think they would show a little compassion to someone with that much time to a place, but no they still want their maintenance fees even of she doesn't use it.

Older hotel that needs some updates. The pool was nice and the hot tub was nice and hot. The rooms were ok but the decor leaves much to be desired. The tv was really small and the rooms could use some serious sound proofing as we could hear everything going on in the hallways and in rooms next to us. Overall the staff is great and friendly and the food was good.

Sent my Dad and my Son for a getaway and they had an amazing time. Rooms were clean and comfy. They enjoyed all the staff they ran into. We did the play and stay package. So they got to enjoy golf, swimming, dining, and relaxing. They had so much fun that this will be a Christmas present for them both this year. Huge thank you to Adam who made this all happen for us.

Son and I decided to get the fish fry. While his cod was good, the perch was way over fried. I asked for the bill and the server seen we hadn't ate any of it and asked if we needed a to go container. When I said no, she didn't seemed surprised but rather upset like its happened before. The condos are nice, however somewhat outdated.

Decided to grab some food last night with our family. Our food came out and the server tipped my husbands drink all over the counter. She offered to replace but never did. She then brought our food out and never checked back until I went to the bar to get the check. She sat with the other employees and proceeded to eat at the bar. No refills offered and the Friday perch was awful, all breading and over fried. Also, rooms are overpriced and outdated and the comment card left on our bed had been filled out by the people who stayed here before us... They apparently felt the same way!

Room was clean, Food was okay. Pool area clean. Nice variety of exercise equipment in gym area. Special events activity (parallel44winery) offered good variety of food but needed better planning in regards to available table space to allow for greater ease of eating and sampling of wine.

We go every year with our grandma and we always have a wonderful time here. Swimming in their pools are fun and the whirlpool is amazing too. Love the villas and feel comfortable everytime I stay in one. Comfy beds and furniture. Great service! Will always come back!

Stayed there over the weekend and the moment we pulled in the parking lot it was a horrible experience. Had an issue with a guy picking up one of the front desk employees he almost hit my son driving through the parking lot going about 60mph and then he proceeded to threaten us acting like he had a gun. Had to involve the police. Then after that we went to our villa and it seemed great until we went to bed that night. Found dead beetles under our pillow. We were offered to be relocated to a villa on the first floor but that smelled of mildew. We were moved to a bigger villa which was nice but that had a serious fly problem. About 15 flies in the master bathroom. Not sure why RCI is even affiliated with this place.

This is undoubtedly the best Golf package in the state. The courses are kept in really great condition and the entire staff is very friendly and accommodating. We are going back for our fourth time.

We love this place! We have stayed in the condos (have now become owners) and the hotel. Each time we have been here the experience has been exceptional. Most recently, this past weekend, we stayed with our Victory Motorcycle group in the hotel and it could only have been more perfect if the snow had melted and the golf course was open. The staff, especially the staff in the bar and restaurant go above and beyond to make your experience memorable. We definitely recommend this place for a group or individual stay. We have made wonderful memories here and will be back in two weeks for a condo stay and to make more great memories with family. Hopefully the golf courses will be open at that point and the snow will be history.

Stayed here for my brothers wedding over the weekend, my dad said he heard mice in the walls, I could hear water running all night, the air conditioning didn’t work correctly, and the room looked like it hadn’t been updated since the 70s. Our shower had no cold water so I was scalding my entire shower. I could have stayed at a motel for the same experience for cheaper. The elevator didn’t even go up to our room, but the staff didn’t ask where our room was and my family walked all the way up and around the building and back down again with their luggage before the staff said the lift didn’t go up to their room. The dance venue was nice but I wouldn’t recommend the hotel. Breakfast wasn’t even included for the price.
