We reached out to JP about our dog being really reactive. We had scheduled an appointment for a consultation, I had taken off work and he didn’t show up. When we rescheduled he showed up and met our dog and seemed optimistic about him. We went ahead and scheduled for a training session. He showed us about “place” and “wacky walking”. It was a great session. We scheduled another one. This time he brought his own dog to work on my dogs reactivity to other dogs. His dog was also very reactive to my dog and nothing came from that session. We ended up just letting our dogs play in our backyard. He acted like our dog had been sufficiently trained and then said that the parallel plays and play groups would benefit my dog. I reached out to him multiple times about these. He would only reply to me with less that 24 hr notice of these events. We were encouraged that these were usually close to our area, but the ones we were told about were 40 minute drives away. I then asked if we could just schedule a 1 on 1 session and was ignored. I usually have to reach out multiple times in order to get a non-response from JP. I would never suggest fountain city dog training. I was really holding out on this review, for a few months. But we have not seen JP since early December. $1300 is not a small amount of money for us. We really wanted what was best for our dog and this was a large chunk of our savings. I would love my money back for this, but I doubt it will happen. Don’t give JP your money. More...

Our Playgroups are for anyone interested in safer positive play or a more compliant dog.
Our playgroup protocols are based on science and use natural canine learning to reduce anxiety and boost confidence. By providing an outlet for your dog’s biologically motivated drive you are setting your dog up for success. When learning through pack play, your dog develops a positive association with learning.
Although all successful dog training requires the facilitation of structure into the dogs home environment, our training views structure more like rules to a fun game and less about control and dominance.
