We also do Passports and Visas, both British and International, as we are aware that different worldwide embassies require different sizes.

Clare created composed and took brilliant photos of one of our new products that we sell on our Amazon store. Clare went above and beyond to take really professional photos of our wine cooler picnic bags to match Amazon's strict photographic rules. Our bags include glasses and a cooling pack which are really difficult to photograph on a white background because they're transparent. This is why we didn't take the photos in house and relied on Clare's experience to find a way to ensure the photos looked brilliant.For the quality and end result, it was definitely worth the investment to get these photos taken. What’s the secret to taking a great photograph?
Now that would be telling, wouldn't it? Well my job is to make everyone feel comfortable! To make people laugh, and make them feel happy about themselves! Also I try and capture some unaware and I truly believe that many of the pictures my customers buy, are the ones that I took when they didn't realised that I had pressed the shutter on that camera! Children sometimes need a few minutes to settle down. The order of which each family photo session goes is different. This way, I can capture the child (and adults too) when they are at their happiest or most relaxed. I also sometimes have to act quickly to keep up with what the people are actually doing. Colours can have strong impact too. Some families have colour themes.
What questions might you ask a client when starting a new project?
Did you have anything in mind? (Don't worry, at Foto-Genix we have plenty of experience and ideas of our own too!) What do YOU like to wear? What do YOU like doing (as a family or individual)? Please bring your own props if you would like them in your pictures, (within reason, no pet tigers please!) After all these are your pictures which should reflect your personalities and capture your memories. This includes your young child's favourite toys of 'cuddlies', your daughter's favourite dress or your son's football. We recommend bright colours, but Blacks & Whites can work well as well as Denims! Please bring changes of clothing and different outfits. What are your favourite colours? Some people have even worn colours to match their home environments!
What do you love most about your job?
I love taking pictures! and pictures of people!! The other part of my job that I love is the reward I feel when our customers finally collect their finished pictures or wall art! The joy in their faces when they see themselves and their loved ones on our top quality products!
What inspired you to start your own business?
My love of photography and ambition to have a studio photography business! I had plenty of photography and admin experience. I love working with people. My job allows me to work around my own family & children! My husband & I set up the business a year before the arrival of our first child back in 2006 and its still going strong!
Why should our clients choose you?
I am a friendly female photographer who children seem to warm to (probably because I have my own). I love people! I totally understand people who don't like having their picture taken because I was one of those once!I chat to you and get most people laughing! They then forget I am actually taking the picture which enables me to 'snap that natural shot!' I am polite, but honest and happy to answer any questions you may have before hand. To some people, photographers are like hairdressers! It is seen as a personal service. For this reason, customers are also very welcome to visit us at the studio before they make their decision, with no obligation to book.
