I came to mike 3 months ago with a partially torn patellar tendon, torn hip flexor and a powerlifting competition I had just signed up for 5 months away. We were both a little unsure if I would be able to compete full power (squat, bench, deadlift) but we were going to take it one step at a time and just keep moving forward. Everyday Mike checks in to see how I am feeling and makes sure everything is working for me and if it isn't he adjusts. He not only builds a solid personal program but he actually asks what you like to do and incorporate's it into the program to keep things interesting! Needless to say I have never been so strong in my life and my knee and hip are completely recovered and thanks to Mike I will be competing full power in November and putting up some really good numbers. The road will not end there though, I plan to have Mike as my coach for a long time, it only makes sense! You would be a fool to not have Mike train you, your results will be nothing short of amazing if you let him help you! I've been training with Gavin for about a year now and have noticed more change than I ever have in my lifetime of trying different fitness regimes. I feel like I achieve more in 40 minute work-out with Gavin than my usual hour or longer even.. Who knew my eyelids could sweat!
On top of that, he's knowledgable and always watches me carefully to ensure I don't injure myself (I'm a bit of a clutz). The changes I see and feel keep me motivated even through the winter months and I plan to keep it up. I highly recommend Gavin as a trainer, whatever level of fitness you are at you will see results.

Mike is amazing. It has been a little over a month and a half since I started training with Mike. I feel empowered, and stronger than I have ever been both physically and mentally. I couldn't be more happy. Mike is extremely motivational, positive, passionate, and knowledgeable about his field. He has a genuine interest in your physical transformation/goals and really focuses on a plan that is entirely suitable for you. 3 months ago, I was introduced to Mike through my daughter,” Just talk to him”, she said. I did.
First meeting, I put him on the spot with my mini interrogation. He answered all my questions politely as he broke a wee bit of a sweat. That was the beginning. Training with Mike for the last 3 months, I have gained strength, now have triceps, stand straighter, eat healthier and have lost 24lbs. All this is great!...but the training is so much more. Mike oozes passion for lifting and it’s contagious. When he trains you, he is 100% engaged and focused on you. I have had several trainers in the past that were so robotic, passionless and had an attitude. Not Mike - he is the real deal. He gets more excited about my small successes than I do. Have been working with Gavin for almost half year already, and I have always wanted to show gratitude to his encouragement, patience and tolerance to my situation - being too busy to set up extra day for workout, eating too less, language barrier etc, and what he did was to keep reminding me, texting me, encouraging, explaining to me repeatedly. Gavin is not a personal trainer that put money at his first place. Knowing my busy schedule, he did not suggest me to take more sessions, purchasing plans, rather he taught me and helped me to build up routine by myself.

Gavin is probably not a personal trainer who can earn a billion dollars a month, but for sure he is the one who is full of passion helping you to gain strength and push your boundary to extreme! :) Strongly recommend!!

I started working with Gavin about half a year ago and it's been one of the best decisions I've ever made! There's no way to properly convey just how much Gavin and Forza has helped me. Gavin is knowledgeable and insightful and he makes working out fun - even if I hate him in the moment. I'm amazed at how hard he works to make sure that I can reach my goals. He's not in it for the money or the praise, he just genuinely wants to see people succeed. I used to hate any exercise that felt like exercise and now, I can't wait to go to the gym. What he teaches me doesn't just stay on the mats either; I'm walking through life with a whole different perspective. He knows exactly how to push me through all the frustration and discouragement and leave feeling proud and excited for next time. He's basically a Jedi. Mike is a wonderful trainer! I began training with Mike in July and have since accomplished all of my health and fitness goals. He was able to simplify the once overwhelming process of creating and maintaining a diet and training plan that was tailored to myself and the goals I had in mind. Without his guidance and encouragement (which I needed a lot of!) I wouldn’t be where I am today. Seeing Mikes amazing transformation gave me confidence that I too could see results. Just wanted to give a big thumbs up to Mike and Forza Barbell. My friend and I purchased 10 sessions together starting Jan 16/2018 today is Feb 16/2018 exactly 1 month later and I am so pleased with the results..If your looking for a fun energetic trainer then Mike is your guy..With 2 sessions per week plus the emailed programs that mike set up for me to do at home in my own time I lost 2" off my waist and lost 5lbs of fat going from 190.6 lbs to 185.6 lbs but gained it back in muscle definition. I am so pleased with the results we are purchasing 10 more with him. Mike helped me control my eating by using Fitness Pal app and recording everything I ate. I have to say I am kind of addicted to the app and have logged in everyday since the beginning. .He also took the time to email me 3 different home programs that i followed to my best ability and starting with 2150 calories per day we got me down to 1900 with aprox 170 grm of protein per day. This review is long overdue. I have been training with Mike for 5 or 6 months now, and can't even begin to describe what a great trainer he is. I have achieved massive size and strength gains under his guidance. More importantly, Mike is an even better person and friend. When you train at Forza, you feel like part of a family. Mike has been there every step of the way for me as I have rehabbed physical injuries, worked through neurological and coordination issues, and gained size and strength. For the newbies, don't let his impressive powerlifting background or garage gym feel intimidate you. I almost walked after my initial meeting with Mike as I wasn't interested in powerlifting. That would have been a huge mistake as Mike's knowledge, experience, and real and honest perspective is a huge asset no matter what your goals are. Keep up the great work brother! More...
