Wonderful and unique food and art stands.
A wonderful place for Old and young to see art, dance and eat and drink the night away!!!
Several years ago when Flagler Village was just blooming, this community came together to create this monthly Artwalk as an inclusive extention of what FAT Village had already started. The area of Mass district had one venue that was a staple in the community for 5 years prior to this artwalk being permitted by the city. Unfortunately that venue is no longer around likely due to developers buying up the area for new condos, but the neighbors are doing great and it's super exciting to see how this area has transformed over the years. This is by far one of the best Arts Districts in all of south Florida!
However, please be mindful/cautious that there are places you should not park where tow companies will tow your car. One place in particular where they have a parking monitor to case the parking lot to see if cars without a parking permit are parking there, is Eclipse. This 12 story building is at the corner of NW 1st Avenue and NW 4th Street. There are "No Parking/Tow Away Zone" signs posted at the back entrance parking lot. Please DO NOT park there or you absolutely will get towed if you are not a resident and do not have a permit to park there.
There is a parking lot that is reserved for Artwalk patrons to park at, located across the street south of Sears at NE 9th Street and NE 5th Avenue, a few block from FATVillage. They have a free trolley that you can hop on which will take you to the various art studios within FATVillage and Flagler Village, which is the neighborhood where the artwalk is hosted.
If you happen to have your car towed by All County Towing, to get your car out of impound lot is $200 (impound fees may have changed since writing this).
Below is their contact information in case your car has been towed.
Address: 520 NW 7th St, Fort Lauderdale, FL 33311
Phone: (954) 564-0486 or (954) 584-0039.
Besides the parking issue, this artwalk hosts so many incredibly talented artists from every medium possible, great food trucks, live art, live music, a couple of bars (my fave is C&I Studios; very relaxed and trendy), street performers, artisan vendors galore, and just a great low-key/friendly/fun vibe throughout the village.
This artwalk is not to be missed! More...
