At first I was happy with the 2nd quote the 1st was too high everything sounded professional the quote said 1 to 2 weeks with an almost immediate start which suited me, then after a week he alked for the 2nd installment of money (almost all) so as not to delay work biggest joke of all I stupidly paid up as I didn't want a delay 4 days later the materials arrived (in my opinion this was the delay I was avoiding by paying up) all's I can say is very slow, very untidy, no suitable protection for other decor, carpets need professionally cleaning as a result of the mess, hall wall paper is ripped, it took a week for them to find out they had screwed through an electric cable after trying to blame my original electrics being faulty, electric cables exposed live, mess, stress & numerous emails later it is finally complete today 4 weeks & 2 days later I am happy with the end result but the whole experience has drove me crazy, i would not recommend these builders John appears on 1st impressions honest, trust worthy & reliable but I could not say that is my opinion anymore.

False review A mid terrace property in croxteth needing a loft conversion. Loft had no boards and still had the old tanks in place that had to be removed. We had little space at the front of the property and the client was clear on not having waste for too long as they needed use it for cars. All waste material was cleared everyday by myself and dust sheets were placed on the carpets throughout. We experienced electrical problems from the start as the property was in need of a rewire. No screws were put through wires it was an existing fault caused by wires trapped under ceiling joist. A complete loft conversion in four weeks having new ceiling joists,boarded throughout and under eaves with storage and doors. new electrics , large velux windows , fully plastered out and loft ladder installation for just over £4k As quoted by client ( I am pleased with the result ! ) When carpets were mentioned she deducted monies from final payment no surprise . We are well respected third generation builders in Formby with awards in previous years from the NHBC . We will not be contracting in Croxteth again as a result .
