Finding a contractor that is reliable, smart, efficient and honest is arduous work, which is why I am so grateful to have finally found Forever Builders. I work for a Vacation Rental company, with many properties in my portfolio that are always needing renovations and/ or updates, both big and small. While I initially only hired Forever Builders for a partial kitchen remodel, I now use them for the majority of my projects. They are always expeditious in the turnaround time for bids, their breakdowns are clear and concise and should the budget not allow for all of my client's wishlists to be fulfilled, the team always works with me to source other comparable materials that still allow for both beauty and function.In the past, I often would hire a company and never see or hear from the project manager again or the lead time would extend without communication, tying up both money and time. Ben was the PM on our kitchen remodel he and his crew did a fabulous job and finished in just a month. Forever builders stepped in when our first low bid contractor fell through a month before the project started. We loved working with his lead installer Rigo he was very friendly and was able to answer any questions we had. The only thing to improve would be the tile installation took longer than expected. I hired Forever Builders to remodel my master bath, half bath, kitchen floor and whole house floor interior painting. I am very happy with everything except the kitchen floor vinyl plank install. The master bathroom came out great, and the interior painter did an excellent job.  Shai has definitely gone above and beyond when it comes to addressing issues that arose during the project. Even though I am not happy with the kitchen floor install because the planks are not all aligned (see the picture of the floor), I am happy with the integrity of this company. They sent out 3 different crews to fix the kitchen floor, but the issue appears to be a manufacturer defect with the planks.  They are now in the process of helping me contact the company that sold the vinyl tiles, but the tiles move when I walk on them. Still I would feel confident in recommending this company to others for specific projects, but I'm not sure I'll do another large remodel project like this all at once for awhile. Huge thanks to Dan and the Forever Builders team for giving me the bathroom of my dreams!I had a very specific idea of what I wanted to do with this space. And I can honestly say it turned out better than I envisioned. After my project manager, Dan, took me through my quote and gave his input of ideas, I knew Forever Builders was the right choice for the job. He helped me pick out the finishing materials and suggested different ways to maximize space and give me the natural light I was looking for. Remodels are extremely tough. I have lived through two of them now. I used Forever Builders to remodel my bathrooms. My experience with Forever Builders was extremely positive. I had Eden as a Project Manager and he took excellent care of me. He was there every step of the way working through all the necessary steps to get the project done with quality and on-budget. I was really impressed with the finish work - the team kept coming back to make sure all the details were taken care of. Alex has been our project manager during what has turned out to be close to a whole home remodel.  Like many people doing remodels these days, we had our fair share of delays with materials and supplies, but with Alex as our project manager, he would adjust when necessary and always take our call and push to make sure things got done on our remodel.  Alex made a commitment to us and gave us his word many months ago when we first met him, and we are pleased to say that we are very happy with the final results.  We would also like to thank Jessie and his entire team at Quality Design Tile and Stone!  Jessie's team put in many hours of work at our home and the tile and flooring work they completed in our home is beautiful!  Alex also connected us with Natalie at Carpiteria Carpet One and we also worked with Molly at MSI.  Both Natalie and Molly are extremely knowledgeable and both were a tremendous help in selecting the necessary materials for our remodel.  Thanks to Morgen for the hours of work he put in at our home!  Morgen worked throughout the home on many different projects and we couldn't be happier with the results of all of his hard work!  A huge thank you to Eddie for all of his work on the design of our bathroom vanities and kitchen cabinets- they are beautiful !  All of these individuals we worked with were friendly, professional and the results are outstanding and we can see why they are trusted partners of Alex.  For our project with Forever Builders, we did a full remodel of a guest bathroom, a full kitchen remodel, new LVP flooring throughout the entire home, new tiling, and vanity in a jack and jill bathroom, removal of a pony wall in the living room, new tile on the fireplace, and new carpeting on the stairs.  Thank you Alex for being a man of your word and an honest representative for Forever Builders.  As you can see from the photos, Forever Builders and Alex can be counted on for high-quality results! Shai and Forever Builders did an excellent job remodeling our kitchen after it suffered water damage due to flooding from outside our condo unit that seeped in through. They also replaced all our flooring with Luxury Vinyl Plank. The whole project took a little over 5 weeks, which was a little bit longer than we expected but we were very happy with the quality of the work. We went for a midcentury modern look with turquoise rhombus backsplash tile, darker cabinetry with brushed stainless hardware and floating shelves with stain that matched the teak flooring - the inclusion of the shelves and removal of an existing pony wall really helped open the space up and the pure white quartz countertop looks really clean and slick, like you might see in a restored 1950's style diner!Forever Builders was responsive to all of our requests for touch-ups and slight modifications throughout the process, including an expansion of the backsplash area from what was quoted on the original estimate. One of the great things was we knew exactly what to expect - the estimate at the start equaled the final price upon completion. We did a full home remodel with Shai and Forever Builders.We painted our interior walls and ceiling, remodeled 2 bathroom, kitchen and replace our flooring with new luxury vinyl planks. Shai came to us for a free estimate and he was super nice and patient. We had a lot of questions and he was there for us. To help is with any questions that we had.He came with us to the showroom to help us and pick the flooring and tile. He walked us through the precess from A-Z.We wanted to say that Shai was really communicative, was always available and sensitive to situations. My family recently completed a kitchen renovation with Forever Builders, and we could not be happier with how it turned out. Me and my wife just remodeled our bathroom and kitchen with Forever Builders and Shai and as a project manager. Important to say that the job was super good and we're really happy with the final results. Also important to say that the most important part was the communication between us and Shai which made everything smooth and easy. He was very apologetic and assured us this never happens and wanted to meet with us personally to make it right and maybe work out a resolution. My wife and I were interested in remodeling our kitchen and took the time to reach out to multiple companies to receive a couple different bids and ideas since we weren't really in a rush.  Sometimes you think you know what you want until a true professional comes along and provides their input which is exactly what happened with Shai!  His understanding of design was clearly gained from experience, and the ideas he presented to us during the tour of the showroom were on point without overselling the project.  We absolutely appreciated him always being on time, very professional, and easy to communicate with!  Slightly unrelated, San Diego is a big city, but it can feel like a small town and it turns out my neighbor recognized Shai from the news a while back.  He was apparently interviewed after providing life saving measures to a victim of the gaslamp shooting back in April.  This guy will save your life and your kitchen, Forever Builders is highly recommended! We met with a few contractors to renovate our home when we moved in our new place. we wanted to paint and lay new flooring and do some renovations throughout. We met with Alex and he was a very nice personable guy. He seemed very interested in our project and we liked him. We were going to give him the opportunity to show us what he can do with our bathroom and then from there we would decide to give him the rest of our house to remodel. Alex said he would send us a quote in a couple of days but those couple of days never came. I followed up with the office and they apologized and they would get Alex to follow up, but a couple of weeks passed and no call or email. We were very disappointed because we were doing all the follow up,  This gave us a glimpse on how this guy must work, if he cant follow up on simple call or email then what would the project be like. Its been a month since our appointment and no call from office or email. My husband and I decided to completely renovate our kitchen. We did some research, met with a few  contractors, and we finally met with Shai from forever builders. I got to say, we made the best decision! I had this idea in my mind of what I wanted the kitchen to look like, I was stuck and didn't know how to approach my dream kitchen. I sat down with the 3D designer, and he made it come to life. From then on, we sat down in phases on what will be done and on what days. I know it sounds a little too detailed, but they were on point. I'm one of those women who gets very overwhelmed when I see my house messy and not in place (OCD). They were very understanding of my condition and worked with me throughout the process. They were amazing in assuring we were satisfied every step of the way! It's been a long time dream of mine to renovate my home! I came across "forever builders" Yelp page , I was pretty impressed with their work and the raving reviews. At first I was a little bit nervous to start the remodeling process, I thought it will be overwhelming, but Dor and his team We're super professional and walk me through the process, and showed me many samples and pictures and we're super helpful, I definitely felt that I was in good hands! The workers were polite and professional. After an exhausting amount of contractors and construction companies I met Eden. I almost gave up on my renovation project before working with him. Eden was really swift in understanding my vision and explained to me all of the aspects concerning the project, the possible and the impossible. We ended up remodeling my entire house, including 3 bathrooms and installing a new kitchen. The project ran quickly and effortlessly, thanks to him and the company he works for. I'm actually quite saddened to write a bad review for this company, but I really hope that nobody else has an experience like ours. Perhaps it's just a matter of what contractor you're assigned. I signed our contract August 2, 2020, but due to CoVid and some issues beyond everyone's control, the actual work on our bathroom didn't begin until November 30, 2020. I'm not saying that was the best reason, but I do understand that somethings are just beyond everyone's control. I just wish there was more communication. I can be a very patient person, but this was an issue because I was pregnant and I wanted our bathrooms completed before I delivered so that I didn't have to worry about it. The plan was to complete one at a time, but when I delivered on December 11 the first bathroom wasn't even done (from August to December, that's four months!). Fast forward to February 27th and they were still working on the bathroom because there was an issue during demolition that caused a problem with the plumbing. The plumber had to return to fix someone else's error and the whole time I have our entire family sharing a bathroom in my bedroom with my newborn trying to sleep because it's the only place they can shower. I even sent my older children away for a few weeks just to make things easier on myself. On March 3, 2021 there was a huge hole in my son's wall where the plumber had to remove the dry wall to fix the problem, but it hadn't been repaired. Finally the hole was filled, more or less, and the bathroom was finally operable. Today is April 19 and the bathroom STILL doesn't have baseboards, so we're just going to do them ourselves. There's absolutely no way I'd have this company do our second bathroom, especially for the rates they charge. I've never been so dissatisfied or disappointed in a company. I would not recommend them. Choosing Forever Builders was the right decision for our home remodel. My fiancé and I just bought our first home and decided to have the interior walls repainted, LVP floors installed, and the kitchen rebuilt with new cupboards/counters/backsplash. The whole project took 3 weeks and we couldn't be happier with the final result!We were really fortunate to have Shai Gino as our project manager. Shai was personable, communicative, and professional from beginning to end. When we met, he went over the scope of work and was thorough in walking me through the renovation process. The cost, timeline, and expectations were broken down clearly. He also met with me at the show room to help pick out the materials for our project. We decided to go with Forever Builders after receiving a couple of bids for our master bathroom. Our project manager, Shai Gino, was very professional and personable from the very beginning. I would say what got us to book them initially was Shai's approach to the project. He was very candid about what we would expect with our project if we decide to move forward with Forever Builders. He made us feel very comfortable about tackling on such a big project, and was straight forward with what we should/could expect (our renovation included removing old flooring, adding extra closet space, removing old bathtub, reconfiguring old shower stall, removing part of a lowered ceiling, pretty much gutting the existing master bath!). In addition, Shai was very transparent with the project cost - detailing every cost/ breakdown so that there were no surprises. When they did start the project, Shai made sure that we knew what to expect every day from the workers. All of them were very respectful of our home, and was in constant communication on the progress. While there were minor hiccups along the way (as expected with a major renovation), Shai always made sure that they were resolved, and done to what we requested. The quality of work is very good (tile work; paint; carpentry; plumbing; electric configuration) and we are confident that we will have our master bath to enjoy for years to come. We recently completed a kitchen renovation with Forever Builders, and we could not be happier! We worked with Ben Banach, and he is an awesome project manager. He's excellent at communicating timelines and ensured the project was always progressing on schedule, and he always had great insight when we wanted to bounce ideas off him. Ben explained every step of the renovation, from the initial consultation and design all the way through completion, and was always happy to answer our questions throughout the entire process...we really could not ask for anything more out of him! They completed my design ideas for a remodel for my new bathroom and I couldn't be happier with the way it turned out! The results have 100% exceeded my expectations. Recently got a job completed by Alex & team on a newly purchased home that we wanted to customize exactly to our liking. We are extremely pleased with the finals results. Forever Builders were quick to initially respond to our quote requests and sent a project manager for in person consultation. Their existing reviews and prompt response ultimately led us to choose them for our remodel. Alex took us step by step through the quote and addressed any questions we had. After signing the scope, we scheduled a meeting where he helped us choose finishing materials that fit our vision. He also introduced us to Natalie, from Carpeteria, who helped provide design input and place orders. Given quarantine and the influx of homeowners pursuing home remodels, we ran into many hiccups finding material that suppliers had in stock. But Natalie was in constant communication with us and Alex to ensure we got what we needed at the times needed. We had the existing luxury vinyl planks and kitchen backsplash replaced (for a different aesthetic), painted all the interior walls, kitchen island painted, and complete bathroom remodel (to include tub to walk in shower conversion). During the whole process Alex was in constant communication with us. If we ever noticed anything of concern, he was also quick to get back to us. His scheduled task crew always showed up on time wearing masks. The schedule didn't go perfectly, which was expected due to unknowns such as behind the wall discoveries and therefore wasn't completed to the optimized finish date. But to speak to that, Alex provided a level of flexibility to us to add/remove from scope and the biggest thing we appreciated was that he took his team's workmanship to heart which showed in the final product. Bathroom remodel.I selected Forever Builders (FB) to remodel my main bathroom in my home in Clairemont.The project manager met with me and reviewed my plans and provided me with several suggestions that just made sense.  Glad to have that direction!The team at FB was supportive as the project hit one unplanned issue after another . . . asbestos abatement and then bad plumbing.  I really appreciated their help in solving these unforeseen issues promptly and professionally.  The project stayed on track!Their crew maintained safe distancing and wore masks throughout the remodel.  Extra props for their tile guys.  I went with expensive marble on the walls.  They expertly squared the tub surround so that each wall was perfectly parallel.  I love the compliments I get like, ".... geez this feels like a real spa bath," and "I feel like I'm in an expensive 5-star hotel."   New standard for Clairemont!I can't end without mentioning owner Ben.  He was on top of all the changes needed to complete the job.  He was communicative and available when needed.  I really appreciated all the extra effort he put into finishing my project. Alex Scott was a super project manager.  We were having a condo renovated before we moved in, but were living in the Bay Area.  We were doing an older kitchen remodel, new vinyl flooring, some drywall work and a fresh coat of paint.We interviewed 3 contractors and we knew the moment we met Alex that he was going to be our guy.  He told us up front he was not going to be the cheapest guy and hit us up with a bunch of price changes on the base scope he bid on and was reasonable with what to expect as add-ons for unknown items.  True to his word, we budgeted for unknowns and he nailed the base scope.  We had add-ons along the way that he added on reasonably.  He also talked us out of stuff that he said would not be worth the money.Alex took us "shopping" to pick out the items we wanted and guided us through the buying process and worked pricing.  I went against his advice in a couple areas and regretted it as those vendors were late and a pain to work with.  Alex kept working with them with a smile on his face.  He also negotiated with my vendors to help keep me in budgetBeing 500 miles away, we needed someone who could keep us in the loop on issues, walk through solutions, detailed oriented, but most importantly trustworthy.  Being a stickler for detail, Alex left no stone unturned and involved me along the way with daily project updates and photos for discussions on what he was planning.Project turned out beautiful and way better than we expected.  Can't believe this is the same place.  Especially being far away and not on the premises everyday, I was worried that there would be some items missed.  Alex's eagle eye and attention to detail did not let me down.If you want a great general contractor and project manager, who will keep you in the loop and not take you for a financial joyride, use Forever Builders and ask for Alex Scott.  You will not regret it. We did a major remodel of our home.  Gutted 2.5 bath bathrooms, replaced all the flooring, took down a wall, gutted the kitchen.  Forever Builders started the project and COVID hit 2 weeks later.  Ben at Forever Builders worked hard to continue our project despite the circumstances.  They provided us with a project cost, and stuck to it, despite some unforeseen issues arising.  Ben kept in constant contact with us and was quick to address the few issues that we had.  Ben has a great eye for construction and was able to provide useful ideas and suggestions.
