We called Forest of Dean Pest Co trol after being let down by a so say locally based pest control company who turned out to be a Southend on Sea company who take orders from customers all over the country pretending to be local then find a sub contractor locally to do the work. In our case they were unable to then find a same day contractor as promised and hence let us down. Going instead to Forest of Dean Pest Control was a lucky replacement for us. They came within an hour, were well equiped with professional equipment, very efficient, and they treated two wasp nests in our dormer windows very efficiently and at a much reduced price by far than any of the other firms we had been to at the onset for quotes. Normally we just leave wasps to it because any nests aren't too close to the house but this particular one was high up in the eaves so they were coming inside. I contacted the office and Matthew was out here within a couple of days. Fixed price, no fuss, job done and a promise to come back free of charge if problem not solved. Matt attended to look at a problem we had with bees and wasps getting in the house. He was punctual and thoroughly examined the outside area and noted our velux window was on the vented setting, we were unaware as had not touched the window since moving into the property. I contacted Forest of Dean Pest Control about a Wasps nest we had in our garage. Builders were arriving very shortly and the nest was therefore a bit of a problem. We took over an empty property which had been a restaurant . Forest of dean pest control was the pest control in place . The premises was under renovation for 6 months and the work the pest control did was amazing because not a signal pesky pest anywhere . Highly recommend this company - alwasy polite and responsive, turn up when they are supposed to and go the extra distance - being an animal loving house with vegetarian and vegans living here, Matt managed to find an ethical solution to a bug problem we have, that sat comfortably with everyone. Had to contact Matt about a wasps nest in a chimney at an aunties property. He was here within the hour, the problem were bees which Matt explained he could not touch as bees are protected, have to wait for 5 or 6 weeks for them to leave. What a lovely, lovely man. Excellent service. I contacted Matt yesterday to say we had three wasp nests around the house that we needed sorting out. This was at 4 .00pm and by 5.30pm he was here and dealing with them. Very reasonable costs as well, particularly as one nest was in a difficult to reach location. Excellent service from this family run company. Last year Matt responded with speed to my call about a hornet's nest and eradicated them within 24 hours. His concern over the fact that there would be children around and that the problem needed to be sorted swiftly was impressive. Today he has given me very helpful advice on what turned out to be a bumble bee's nesting area and did not charge for the call out. We have used Matt a few times now and he’s been nothing short of fabulous! He certainly knows his stuff and is very knowledgeable.
