My Lola has just got back from her first stay in kennels (she's only 6 months), they picked her up and dropped her back to me as I don't drive and she seemed to have enjoyed it will differently be bringing her back, Thank you for looking after her so well

I feel compelled to write something after seeing these reviews. I've just picked up Ted, our grumpy and bad attitude English Bulldog. This was his second stay here and the guys were all amazing. I chose here because when I first approached them I told them all about Ted's aggression issues and they were quick to suggest leaving him with them for a few hours at a time to win his trust.
We did this and felt comfortable to go away for a week.
Again, this time round we left Ted with the girls and I've brought him home - he smells amazing, is happy and currently fast asleep on me snoring his head off. For a dog that has to be muzzled in public and taken out with a lot of thought the girls there made a massive effort with him and their efforts have paid off. He loves it there and is as good as gold which gives us ultimate peace of mind to leave him there.
Don't take my word for it or the other reviews, go there yourself and see how good it is there. We have no problem recommending the kennels to anyone. More...

I can't thank the staff at foredowne enough! My two cats are part of our family and have never been away from us before, but they had to be in the cattery for neary 3 weeks while we sorted a house move. I was really reluctant to put them in a cattery, they had never been to one before and my eldest doesn't like people, can get aggressive and has some long standing medical issues. My youngest has always been an outdoorsy cat and loves hunting but loves a lot of attention. I was worried that being in a cattery would make my eldests medical conditions flare up and that the other may get cabin fever and upset by not having daily cuddles! Putting them in the cattery was a final option that I had to take but I found the staff very understanding. The staff made sure that my youngest got the attention she needed and my oldest's stress levels were kept to a minimum. They had a double pen that was further away from the other cats so my oldest didn't get stressed as she gets very dominant over other cats. They kept to their routine as much as possible even making sure they had their dreamies after tea! My oldest cat really warmed to the staff and would even approach them to be stroked which for her is saying something! When my cats came home they were in just as good a condition as they went in and weren't stressed by the experience at all settling right back into home life straight away! I would definitely use foredowne again in the future if I have to, as the showed a level of care and attention to my cats that was first class! Being able to visit my cats and spend as much time as I wanted with them was an added bonus that I didnt expect and I believe really helped them cope with the situation due to the duration they were there. I would recommend foredowne to anyone that needs a cattery even if your cat has complex medical needs! (My cat has a damage to her lower spine and kidneys, from an accident a couple of years ago which gives her occasional pain and can make her a little aggressive, she had kidney failure during the same period so her general health has to be watched daily, and she has a plaque allergy that produces large ulcers in her mouth, made worse by stress... her health didnt deteriorate while being in and he health and emotional state was monitored and reported to me regularly) thank you so much to Jo and the team.... I can’t thank the staff at Foredown enough. It’s been 3 weeks since we took our beautiful thatchers home. She is settling in wonderfully with my other 2 dogs and kids. The staff were very patient with us introducing the dogs and also gave us a lot of helpful advice. I would be over more adopting dogs if my husband would let me. Would highly recommend their services. We will bring thatchers over for a visit very soon, so u can see how well she is doing xx More...

I am more than happy to give Foredowne a 5* Excellent review - we have been using them for a while but this time our dog was staying with them on his own for the first time having lost our old lady two weeks before. As always the staff were lovely and understanding and whilst he can be nervous they made him feel at home and I know that he was well looked after - and he even spent some time helping to man the office! We have just picked up our elderly dog Gemma from Foredown and can honestly say we couldn't be happier with the service they provided. Due to being let down at the last minute by family we had to make a tough decision and put Gemma in kennels for the week and I'm glad we found somewhere that looked after her so well. We rehomed two dogs from your kennels,one 9 years ago and one 3 months ago.
We found your service very professional,we had to be house checked,you wouldn't allow our new dog to leave with us till his jabs where up to date,we came up 3 weekends in a row to exercise our new arrival with our present dog.
We couldn't fault your service,we are 100% happy with the service we received.

I got my staffy cross from here bear he was born here along with his siblings from pregnant stray Mary lou. When we went to a wedding bear boarded here and was well cared for and happy. I was really nervous about leaving my Coco at a kennels for the first time. I wasn't even brave enough to take her, my husband took her. We collected her earlier and I am so relieved. I wish I hadn't worried. Coco was all bathed and clean and took so happy and chilled out. Coco has settled back in lovely at home, asleep on the settee. Our precious boy has never been into kennels before....way too precious!! I rang as an emergency and was able to get him in � The staff are wonderful, friendly and do an amazing job.
