I am not writing this review to say this is a great business or not. Only that I assumed it was defunct (when I never heard back from the owner after several attempts to hire her) but she did finally reach out to me & obviously is still in business.

Heather treats her dog sitting clients like family. She consistently goes above & beyond the call of duty. She’s an impressive dog walker - see photo I took of her walking multiple dogs at once & making it look like a breeze! Her training skills are also fantastic - I've seen her transform difficult walkers, resource guarders, & aggressive dogs as well as teach tricks to young puppies. This review was long overdue, simply put Heather is absolutely AMAZING! I have 3 dogs, each with different temperaments (anxiety, excessive barking, trying to make a run for it when the door opened etc) and one with eye issues that require frequent drops. When I came back from my week long vacation, each one of them seemed like they were at charm school all week! I could not believe my eyes! No one was making a run for the open door, there was no barking out of anxiety, they were happy and confident (every time I've left them in the past with other people they were a mess and depressed when I got back). She even was able to walk them with other dogs which I just loved seeing! I have a hard time with walks and socializing and she managed to train them in less than a week! I can't say enough nice things about Heather, she really went out of her way! My house was immaculate when I got home and she sent constant pictures and videos, and kept in touch the whole time. There is just something about her that you are instantly put as ease when you see her interact with your pups. She is my dog whisperer. I hope she will be around for a long time because I never want to leave my little ones with anyone else! More...

Heather is simply amazing. This was our first time hiring a pet sitter for our furry child, Tessa. Being the nervous person I am, we interviewed 3 different sitters - just to be sure.
Right when Heather walked in the door, we knew she was the one. She truly goes above and beyond to make you (and your pet) feel comfortable while you're away.
From her frequent text updates (with photos) to making sure our house was in pristine condition when we arrived home, we could not have picked a better person. For the Love of Dog will be the first call I make next time I'm out of town, and I would recommend her to anyone for all their pet care needs :)

Heather is by far the most caring and devoted person in the business! Not only is she an excellent pet-sitter and dog-walker, but she has is very skilled at puppy-training. She has taught our new puppy Taco so many skills and good behaviors, and she has also taught us so many critical training techniques that we would have never known about. When Taco is with her, we are 100% confident that he is safe and having a blast playing with his dog-friends and exploring the outside world. She provides regular updates with pictures and videos of Taco's adventures while he is with her, and we don't even have to ask. Did I mention the amazing photos she takes of Taco and all the other pups?! They are some of our favorite pictures of him! I can't rave enough about Heather and her amazing services! She has blown away any expectations I've had and has set the bar high for quality dog walking services. My dog Dakota adores her and gets so excited when she sees her! I can't imagine if I hadn't found Heather at For the Love of Dog! My dog absolutely adores her. She looks forward to her walks with her- and Heather always keeps me happy by sending me photo's :). Heather really is amazing. She has been walking and watching my PomaPoo for a few years now, and my Lily just loves her! She looks forward to seeing her, and barks and dances with joy when she gets to see her. My dog is a little spoiled and very particular about who she likes. She is my baby, and Heather is the first person I feel totally comfortable leaving her with. She is extremely reliable, and goes the extra mile when caring for all her furry babies. She texts updates, sends pictures, and makes you feel very comfortable about leaving your dog her in care whether it is for a daily walk or overnight care. Heather is beyond amazing! She takes amazing care of our extremely active and far from well behaved black lab. We went out of town for a week and a half, and needed someone to watch our Puffalump while we were away. Â Heather was way more than we expected - she went above and beyond to care for Puffalump while we were away, took him on outings, had him meet other doggy friends, and sent texts, pictures, and video while we were gone. Â On top of that, she offered to pick us up some groceries so they could be there when we got back, and because of Heather, we had bananas ready for my baby boy the very next morning when we got back. Â Our home was clean, and our mail was stacked neatly on a table, and she even stopped by on the last day to make sure Puffer was ok since we came back at night on the last day. We felt completely at ease knowing that Puffer was in such good care, and we could tell that he was happy and not scared to be on his own at all when we got back. Heather is the best! I know my dogs are well taken care of and happy. Love getting text messages from her to update me since I am always wondering what they are doing. I love that she will stay overnight with them and they can still have there same routine and they feel comfortable. I trust Heather 100 with my pups! Having Heather over to watch our Gizzie was such a great experience! Rest assured your furry family member will be loved and adored while you are away! Â She made sure to give his medicine every day, took him for great excursions, took great pictures of him and even gives you a detailed report of their fun time together! she posted pics of him on Facebook while we were away so we knew he was doing great and she responds quickly if you contact her while your gone. Â Words cannot describe the relief we felt knowing that he and our home were in such caring and capable hands. Â She goes above and beyond, without you even asking by even putting away the garbage cans from the curb (since we left the morning of a garbage day) and picked up the newspaper! Â She is like a good friend or family member that you completely trust to take care of your poochie and home while you are away, but BETTER because she doesn't eat all your food and drink up all your alcohol!!! Heather is truly fantastic! I can't speak highly enough of the care, detail and attention she has put into our three little doxies. Heather watched over our pups for 6 days while we were out of town, and we returned home to see that our little guys were very well taken care of and happy.Heather even posts photos and videos on Facebook while you're away, so you can see how your dogs are doing.Another thing about Heather that is special is the notes she leaves for you when you return home. She writes a doggy "report card" from the first-person perspective of the dogs! It's hilarious and a great way to learn about how your dogs did while you were away.There is much more I could say about Heather - but in short - she is an excellent pet sitter that I would trust with my animals any time! Heather is an absolutely incredible and kind caretaker. Delilah, my pooch, is happier when she has spent time with Heather, which naturally makes me a happier mommy! Heather takes the time to really care for Delilah and leaves a "doggy report card" after each visit to update me on what they did, how long she spent there, if she filled Delilah's water/gave her a treat, and details on my pup's behavior. If you're into technology, Heather will text or email you live updates and photos of her walks with your dogs. After two weeks, Heather is definitely a part of Delilah's family.
