Amanda and I had the pleasure of having Julio Fonyat photograph our wedding this spring. I cannot put into words how satisfied we were with Julio's work. His professionalism and attention to detail were second to none, and he made sure to capture so many unique moments during our special day. We were really pleased that Julio was able to work with us even though we hired him with such short notice. His session in between the ceremony and reception was the highlight of our experience, we had left it completely up to him to decide on the location of the shoot and we were far from disappointed. We chose Julio Fonyat to photograph our engagement session and wedding day after we saw my great friend’s wedding personal website and photobooth video. My wife and I were really amazed with the uniqueness and quality of their beautiful photos. When we met with Julio, we knew he was the perfect match for our wedding photography needs.I must say that Julio, and his lovely wife - second photographer - were highly professional all the way, which pleased us a lot.The “enormous" task of capturing the special moments of the big day, that goes by so fast, was performed to perfection, as he chose the best angles, being always right in the spot, yet never intruding.Although perfectly affordable, the quality of his work is priceless. Photography was a big priority when we were planning our wedding. I wanted to be sure I got the best photographer I could. When I came across Fonyat Photographer, my search was over.
After meeting with Julio at his home, we were vey excited. We booked an engagement session and Julio really helped deciding the details. Being unfamiliar with photography and being photographed, it was a huge relief for us to have his assistance with the decisions; from locations, to what to wear on the shoot.
Before the wedding, Julio scouted the venue with us, looking for the perfect spots to photograph. It was very comforting to know we he was thoroughly prepared for our big day.
The wedding day went smoothly - and quick. Julio was always ready, documenting the action and all the details.
Needless to say, the photos are amazing! We love the pictures and Julio even created a personal website for our event where I could share the photos with my family and friends.

I was looking for a photographer to book a session for me and my son, when I came across Julio’s website. I really liked his photos, and also the fact that his website displays many samples of previous jobs he had done.
I got in touch with Julio, and he responded right away. He was really helpful helping me choose a good, yet close to home, location for the session. We decided to meet at a park in Carlsbad, that I usually go with my son. We both felt at ease with Julio, and he made it a lot more fun than we expected. He was even able to get some individual pictures of my son, which is a hard task.
The photos came a few days after the session, and they were stellar! Some were more posed than others, and I really liked how creative they were. julio created a personal website, where I was able to download and print directly from.
Overall, working with Fonyat Photographer was a great experience, and I won't think twice to contact Julio next time I need a photographer. More...

I'm not even sure where to begin this review because Julio is so amazing. My fiancee and I were referred to Julio by a colleague of mine and I knew that as soon as I saw Julio's work, I had to have him shoot my wedding. So, I contacted him immediately to check his availability was so happy to find out he was free. He took the time to meet with us in person (along with our three kids who Julio never seemed bothered by!) and explain to us everything he does. He didn't try to push us to by anything extra and really listened to everything we said. Recently, we had our engagement shoot and it was so much fun! My fiancee was SO nervous as he hates being center of attention, but by the time we were finished, he actually told me what a great time he had. Julio has great ideas and came up with some AMAZING shots! We couldn't have been happier with the results and are so excited for September when he shoots are wedding. I can't recommend Julio enough! I will try to keep this short and sweet...besides the photos being absolutely beautiful for a very reasonable price---

-Awesome landscape experience, so if you're looking for a more outdoorsy rustic theme, Julio's style is perfect.

-He's super quick to reply, genuinely a very friendly easy-going guy, and he gave us a TON of suggestions. I was also impressed with how helpful Julio was in giving us planning tips for the big day. We had no idea what we were getting into planning the wedding ourselves and we were grateful for his guidance.

-He doesn't charge per hour and was very flexible for the engagement shoot. We had all day with no time limit to ensure we "got the right shots" and even had to reschedule once because it rained. Julio was extremely accommodating. He even attended our rehearsal, which was not technically required. Another thing we truly appreciated!

-For our big day, his wife was there with an extra camera to assist and get different angles. Having them both there was such an added bonus.

-He's a DOG guy! We included our dog in the engagement shoot and Julio was patient with us to get the right shots even when the dog wasn't cooperating. You can tell he truly enjoys working with animals.

I'm very happy we went with Julio. He was the first photographer we looked at online and knew right from the moment we met him that we could see him capturing our big day! More...

I worked with Julio during my wedding in 2014. Let me summarize for you his awesomeness:

Julio. Is. The Best. Hands down. I already thought his prices were reasonable before we worked with him, even after adding on an additional photographer and a Photo Booth for the wedding. My husband and I were COMPLETELY BLOWN AWAY by the pictures from the wedding. I am normally not very photogenic, but Julio somehow made me stunning. Seriously, there isn't a single bad picture in the 2000+ we walked away with.

We had some amazing vendors for our wedding, but I am probably most impressed with Julio. He's incredibly easy to work with, and had really cool, unique things he gives you as a part of the photography package (no nickle-diming). We got numerous comments after our wedding from guests who "didn't even notice they were there...". Not intruding at all, and yet he got these incredibly intimate, wonderful photos of the day. I am so thrilled to have all these fantastic photographs to remember the day. I would recommend Julio to absolutely everyone I know (and have, quite a few of my friends had Julio at their weddings, too!).
