A lovely course, the only true national hunt figure of 8 course in the country. Decent standard of racing, which was very enjoyable. Easy to get in and out of the course, which is right by the. A27 near Arundel. Plenty of bars, though service was incredibly slow. We bought Premier tickets and it's really not worth it. You get access to a bar where the service is slow, and the seating area is small with a poor view. More...

We have been attending Ladies Night in August for many years (minus during the pandemic). We travel from Somerset and go with friends who live adjacent to the course. We always go to the Premier Restaurant. Last Thursday was an unrecognisable experience compared to when we first started coming. No cold white wine available. Who wants to drink warm white wine?! Basic catering and hospitality necessities. And then when we pointed this out nobody seemingly thought it might be a good idea to chill some bottles. Our next two bottles were room temperature also. However my husband’s soup was cold but should have been hot. By the time it was replaced I had finished my starter. One bread roll - no chance of being offered more. We asked if there were any biscuits available with our coffee and we’re given a plate of cream crackers. I can clearly remember how I was made to feel special on the first few times I came. We all go to great lengths to dress up for such a special occasion but wasn’t made to feel special last Thursday - just a number and an income. And when our bill arrived we had been charged for 4 bottles of wine instead of 3. And for a cider that we’d been told was not available as the pipes hadn’t been cleaned. Went to the family fun day and was very impressed by it. They had lots of free things to do for the kids, like face painting, inflatables and a couple of fair ground rides. The atmosphere was great. Fabulous days racing at Fontwell on the 26th February 2023.Enjoyed the hospitality at the Premier Lounge Restaurant. Delicious food, great service and viewsof the racing. Colin Brown was hugely entertaining and immensely helpful. Colin gave us a guided tour of the inside of the parade ring and was able to share stories of his wonderful career as a major jockey. Brilliant day out today! Lots of fun to have with families etc. The only reason for not giving 5 stars is because the parking is dreadful during winter times. Takes ages to get out of the racecourse and as it is so boggy, cars/vans get stuck in the mud very easily. Might be worth thinking of sorting the car park out going forward! More...

Our usual ten minute journey to fontwell took 50 minutes. The entrance needs to be improved .Fair ground food horrendously expensive and we spent most of our time in a queue. ..for everything. Enjoyed Fontwell Races. Not as pompous as bigger Race meetings. We went in tge Premier Lounge with a three course meal, which was very slow I serving between courses, but was worth the wait as it wS delicious. I had tge Salmon Parfait to start Mushroom Arancini for main, and Vanilla Pannocotta fir dessert...lovely. More...
