Shane is a VJ dream. I hired him for my 80s theme 40th birthday party (at my home w/ 40-50 guests) this last weekend and holy smokes he is AMAZING. When I first spoke with him I told him that as the professional he could be in charge of the playlist, my only request was that he be open to my guest's song requests and man oh man did he deliver! Everyone not only loved the playlist they LOVED that music videos were also on display. And... it didn't stop there, Shane played well past the agreed-upon end time. Shane was FANTASTIC. Super professional, helpful, flexible and patient. He was ready and willing to take on any idea or change to the plan that I threw at him. The dance party and light show were high energy and he created such a party vibe. I've worked with Shane on one of Seattle's wedding and was so impressed with everything he did. He interacted with clients and guests and the whole team so easily making every question answered and having decision for any possible need in regards to music and audio support of the ceremony. He made sure to triple check everything and that is why everything was perfect. He organized his whole booth in a very accurate way, it was not interfering with a wedding attire at all, but made it look even better. He played a beautiful video about the couple on a huge professional screen, that also looked very neat. Guests and the couple enjoyed it a lot! Finally, at the end of the big day he created the best music experience for the crowd I've ever witnessed on a wedding. Flux VJ aka Shane was a pleasure to work with at our recent Gala for the Arts fundraising event in the Shoreline area. He was professional and easy to work with. It was our first time trying a DJ/VJ in a long time and Shane proved to be a valuable addition to the event this year. Flux VJ (Shane) was amazing! We booked him a bit late (3 weeks before our wedding) and was impressed the second I met him. He has a knack for detail, is talented at reading the room, and provided customized touches to the event that impressed us and our guests. He took my request for limbo seriously by crafting a limbo stick and had a logo with our initials on the screen. These were fun surprises when we arrived to our reception. Since most wedding details are hyper-planned, I felt relief in trusting Shane with the audio and visual. What a wonderful job he did! Shane is such a great guy! We hired him to DJ and Emcee for our wedding recently and were so glad that we did. Even before we meet him, we knew from his website that he fully understood the difference between a party or a club gig and a wedding. He was a perfect gentleman about everything and also very professional. He coordinated well with us and the rest of our vendors and had many helpful suggestions leading up to the wedding. Our music selection was quite varied throughout the evening and Shane did a great job of blending those songs together along with the requests he received from guests. Everyone found him to be very approachable. We took him up on his offer of displaying several pictures of us on the screen he brings and he showed these during dinner. People loved it! Our volunteer parent association hired Shane for a special 8th Grade Celebration graduation dance for students (about 14 to 15 years old).
In the past we’d had challenges getting our middle schoolers out on the dance floor during dances as they seemed uninterested so we wanted to change course and thought it might be fun to try Shane’s Music Video DJ service. Some parents were concerned that the playing of music videos might be inappropriate for middle schoolers so I had a conversation with Shane about it prior to our event. Shane was so professional and assured me that he would only play appropriate videos and also offered to put together some video footage to go along with our “In the City” theme. He was a great communicator and responded to all of my emails and inquiries in a timely manner.
On the day of the event Shane arrived on time and was easy to work with as he got set up.
The dance was an absolute success! Shane has great instincts and played music and videos that got kids engaged and onto the dance floor. Several times during the dance a majority of students gathered in a circle and excitedly clapped and chanted along as various students entered the middle of the circle to show off their moves. Even the Principal and Vice Principal joined in! The atmosphere was very exciting and so different from what we’ve had in the past and I give Shane all of the credit. He interacted kindly and professionally with the students (as they excitedly made requests) and our parent volunteers.
I highly recommend Shane and his wonderful Music Video DJ service. He is very professional and has great instincts and talent!

Shane was amazing, very prepared, and so easy to work with. We chose an outdoor venue which had 3 options for the ceremony. Due to rain the day before, my original location had to be moved day of, which meant Shane had to switch the equipment he was going to use, and the original plan he was prepared for. He didn't even bother us with the details, just made it happen. We were also married on a Sunday, which was a Seahawks game day. Two days before our wedding, I asked if it would be possible to stream the game on his projector, and sure enough, he made that happen too! Terrible wifi and all! This was much appreciated as our caterers truck broke down and dinner was pushed back, so this definitely helped keep our guests entertained. Shane's the best! We've had 3 parties Shane DJ'ed and you just don't worry about anything when he's in charge - the visuals are awesome, the songs are awesome and edited just right, and he's thought of every detail. Two years in a row he made an awesome New Year's set with perfect awareness of what was playing at midnight down to the second and what built up to it. I was at a graduation party and Shane was the DJ. I saw that he had music videos playing with the songs and it was really cool, I've never seen that before! What’s the secret to keeping a party dancing all night long?
I do a lot of homework before an event to know what are the most requested songs across various types of events, age groups and ethnic groups. i.e., I'm a passionate music nerd! I then work with the person hiring me to see what are the songs that get them excited.
On the night of the event I analyse who is in the room, what might be the songs that those generations love. Then I closely track what is working and what is not and ensure that then next song will be very well received.
How would you describe your ‘style’?
I come with 12 years corporate event experience so my style is that level of professionalism. I am the polar opposite from the bedroom DJs that are out there.
What do you love most about your job?
Getting to be around people that are having a wonderful time and knowing that I made their special event significantly better. They may not have realized how important a dynamic DJ can be.
What inspired you to start your own business?
I attended events when I felt the standard DJ was a bit of a mediocre experience, I felt I could bring a new product to market that would be a far more interesting experience.
Why should our clients choose you?
Adding visuals to your event can really increase how engaging the dance floor can be. It'll bring more guests into the event, and make the whole thing far more memorable.
