Q&As

Your website should be easy to access and navigate, aesthetically pleasing and full of quality content. Good web design doesn’t confuse or distract the user; it helps to engage and inform. A functional, beautifully designed website will not only provide consistency with your brand, but will help to increase your credibility and win the trust of your target audience. We can help you set up camp in this pixelated universe, and even build a village of followers.

Do you have existing content? Photos? Words? Or do we need to create all the content too?

Step 1—Initial consultation
We meet with the prospective client to discuss the most important part of the project: their objectives. We will also present relevant examples of previous work we’ve completed as evidence we understand the project and have the necessary expertise and experience. This meeting usually takes 45 to 60 minutes most of this time is spent ensuring we understand the client’s organisation, brand and project objectives. There is no fee for this meeting.

Step 2—Proposal
After diagnosing the client’s objectives, we write a proposal which includes an outline of work to be undertaken and cost estimates. Our standard terms and conditions are also outlined in the proposal. There is also no fee charged for this proposal, in fact there are absolutely no fees until the initial proposal is agreed upon and signed.

Step 3—Diagnosis
After the client has negotiated and signed off the proposal, we issue a deposit invoice. Once payment is received we begin to formulate and document ideas about how to approach to design project. We conduct several layers of research including the local market, the global market and search for parallels amongst brands in different sectors. We also look at other design solutions from all types of different sources to help inspire the creative process. Thorough diagnosis prevents investment in unnecessary projects, and ensures any investment is highly effective.

Step 4—Strategy
We develop a strategic direction to outline project objectives, identify the target audience and a plan for action (a design brief). We analyse our diagnostic research to determine a gap in the market. Sometimes we develop a mood board, or a selection of visual possibilities, from other industries and applications.

Step 5—Creative
Once the strategy is on track we begin the creative graphic design process by thinking, sketching, drawing, cutting and pasting. We then analyse the creative ideas against the project objectives and strategy to ensure we’re on the right track.

Step 6—Refinement & Implementation
The approved concept work is developed to finished product. After putting on the finishing touches to the design after receiving your feedback, we'll either build your website or supply you with all the files you need.

This process varies for different types and sizes of projects, but in essence, remains very consistent.

Project objectives, target audience, message, point of difference, existing assets (logos, photos, domain etc.), budget and timeframes/deadlines.

We love helping community-focussed clients add social value to their communication projects. Our clients most often work in local government, state government, not-for-profit, health, science and education sectors.

As natives in the digital world, we are also experts at helping small businesses compete with larger competitors by developing branding and well designed websites that get found by the right people.

We help clients nurture vibrant communities using meaningful graphic design solutions. That with a desire to provide amazing service and beautiful design work at a price point which is not too prohibitive.
