Simply the best groomer there is, my Oakley is such a nervous pupper with severe anxiety issues and he really doesn’t like being groomed but Fluffingtons staff have the patience of a saint and just show Oakley love and kindness and slowly and surely they are gaining his trust hopefully one day soon they will be able to do a mega fluff but we are all doing what works for Oakley. To put it simply Fluffingtons put the dogs needs first whilst obviously keeping the humans safe. They don’t groom like they are on a conveyer belt to get as many dogs done as quickly as possible for the maximum profit. Which to me means so much. I am an aspiring veterinary student and I was searching for work experience, and thankfully Lucy was kind enough to take me on. I was nervous before the first practice day, but after doing my first hours, all my worries went away. She was so lovely and so helpful, and guided me through everything I needed to know which boosted my confidence and with practice, it boosted my skills too. Looking at how patiently and carefully she deals with customers and their pets, as well as how much attention and care she provides the dogs with, set a wonderful example on what kind of vet I wish to be. So far, I have done 34 hours along side Lucy, and I’ve enjoyed every moment of it. I’ve had the opportunity to clean ears, clip nails, moisturise paw pads, bathe, shampoo, blow dry, clip fur, perfume and pick out lovely bows. Another bonus has also been giving the dogs treats for their excellent behaviour and spending time with such cute dogs! As a student, I would certainly recommend Lucy and Fluffingtons to anyone who is searching for volunteering (or possibly an apprenticeship); it has been such a wonderful opportunity and I am highly grateful. And to possible customers, I would highly recommend bringing your dog to Fluffingtons. I have had the pleasure of a first hand view of how well Lucy treats all dogs and the amount of effort she puts into her work (and that it pays off!). Highly recommended. Lucy has a real passion for dogs and adores each one as if they are her own. We took our border collie puppy for a puppy fluff and she was brilliant with him. I highly recommend Fluffingtons Lucy took such great care of my fur babies like they was her own! Both pooches went happily and left happily My German Shepherds coat is super soft and fluffy and she smells beautiful! ! Lucy really does cater for all sizes, my Shepherd went bounding up excitedly and Lucy wasn’t the slightest bit fazed. I don’t think I’ve ever seen my dogs so excited to go to the groomers. We cannot recommend Fluffingtons enough. We have a little rescue dog named Remy. She can find other people a little scary but she was so happy when we went to collect her. Lucy was really nice and took such good care of Remy. We didn’t recognise Remy when we went to collect her, her thick coat had been taken off and revealed an array of amazing Dalmatian type spots Thank you Lucy for making Remy even more beautiful than she was before. Lucy at Fluffingtons was so amazing with our dog Teddy, he’s not one for accepting being groomed very well and can find it quite stressful sometimes but Lucy gave him all the time he needed to make him feel comfortable and happy. When we picked him up not only was he running around, playful and happy but he looked great. He absolutely loved his groom and we couldn’t be happier with his new look, Lucy did such an amazing job with him and she’s now got a customer for life.
