Ken and his team at Flowers in the Attic helped to make our wedding day an absolutely beautiful event. All the flowers from the bouquets, arrangements in the church, to the extravagant centerpieces surpassed all our expectations. The attention to every little detail in every piece was impressive - multiple guests told us they had never seen such beautiful flower arrangements. From the very start Ken and his team were very receptive to my ideas, and we couldn't have asked for a nicer group of people to work with. Ken even came to the church and made sure all the boutineers and bouquets were prefect - even made sure all ties, dress and makeup were flawless! With having a wedding on Mother's Day weekend we were warned the prices would be higher, however we didn't notice it at all. Ken at Flowers in the Attic is AMAZING! He did a fabulous job with our wedding and understood exactly the wedding vision I was going for! I received so many compliments on the flowers. I couldn't believe how beautiful everything looked. Our bridal table was gorgeous, our centerpieces were breathtaking, and the special arrangements he did for us were so unique and really eye catching! He put together an arrangement for our guest seating cards that was just beautiful. It was two tall crystal stands with strands of lights and crystals. Flowers draped over the top to create a beautiful centerpiece for all of our home made wine bottles that had all of our guests names included! I will use Ken for any future flower needs I have!!!! This is by far the best place to have tea. My girlfriends and I have a tea ritual were we try all the tea places in the Pittsburgh vicinity and this place took the cake, literally. Everything was so good that we took some extra cake home with us and what a pleasant surprise, it was to die for. I would recommend this place for anyone. I grew up going to the storefront of Flowers in the Attic, and so I knew that Ken and his team were an obvious choice for our wedding flowers. Ken exceeded all expectations, and was able to work with the one inspiration photo that I really loved. The flowers throughout the ceremony and reception spaces were perfectly designed to suit our wedding theme ("new meets old") and he blended modern elements with classic blooms. He was also able to incorporate all of the design elements that my mom and I had purchased on our own for the wedding events, and tailored them to fit alongside the arrangements that he made. Ken was responsive to all of our requests and listened closely to my vision for the floral designs: even ensuring that the groomsmen's boutonnieres matched the floral arrangements without using any flowers (the request of the groom!) We were even able to re-use some of our arrangements and decor in our reception space to get the most use out of all of our decorations. I was very please with Flowers in the Attic and Ken. Ken and his staff were great to work with. I loved my bouquets and my bridesmaids bouquets. Aunt and uncle flowers were great. The flowers on the altar was so perfect that they made me smile.
Ken did everything I asked for my bouquet. I had added crystals, charms of my grandparents' pictures, fabric from the gown, etc. Boutonnieres for the groomsmen and fathers were very nice. My mom and mother in law loved the added bracelet from their wrist corsage.

We are actually not getting married for 6 months, but I am very pleased with our florist already! The owner was flexibile in providing times to meet with us (everywhere else was basically 9-5 M-F, maybe a Saturday morning if you're lucky). My mom and I went to meet with him and we were very impressed--not only with his knowledge, but with all of the helpful tips he added. He even advised me to stay away from certain flowers in my bouquet to avoid possibly getting color on my white dress (something I never thought of, and no other florist told me about) and provided other beneficial tips that we never had considered. He was reasonable with our quote, and timely with providing it. Flower arrangements and bouquets were beautiful. I had them put a charm in my bouquet last minute, and they did it without hesitation. The reason I did not rate them 5/5 is because my bouquet was supposed to have peonies and it did not. Upon meeting Ken and his staff I was happy with what we discussed and confident in his work. I signed a contract immediately. I was not thrilled with the fact that I would not see what I would be getting until the day of and only had a written description of what was expected. A month before my wedding my mother in law called him to make a couple changes - She changed the amount of our tall centerpieces (one less) and asked to add a palm tree in its place for pricing. She was told they would try and get her another palm. 12 days before my wedding I emailed Ken and staff to just confirm everything as well as what would be brought to reception. I got a call at 10:20 the DAY OF my wedding telling me that there were two pedestals and flowers that I was to get that we hadn't paid for and weren't on my email...
At our second meeting with Ken we talked about adding two pedestals with flowers but when Ken revised the contract he did not have them on there so we left it that a month before if we wanted to add them we would and would let him know. We never confirmed adding those. Upon delivery of my pieces - which were more contemporary and tropical...I was overwhelmed with the beauty of my Escort table as well as my sweetheart table. They were amazing!! The "smalls" were creatively done and beautiful but a bit smaller than I was anticipating. In fact, a bit small in scale for the table and room. I wish I would have been able to get a better description because then I would have known. The "talls" were a great scale and pretty much as described in the contract but I thought would have had a bit more creativity involved. Also, they ended up sending the original amount of talls instead of decreasing by one like they were told to. They do beautiful work and their creativity is unmatched but I feel as if there was a little disappointment in communication. Also, Ken never showed up to deliver or pick-up which bummed me out. I have purchased several gift items and food items (to go) at this fine establishment. It is a beautiful store, offering many options for gifts and fine food. The gifts I bought were much appreciated and fit the occasion perfectly. The desserts that I purchased for Valentines Day for myself and my husband were "out of this world" and we both have very discriminating tastes. I have met personally with the owner Ken Milko and found him to be an honest and fair businessman. I also found his staff to be very courteous. If one expects to purchase a quality item or service then they ought to be prepared to pay a fair price. I am looking forward to doing more business with Flowers In the Attic in the near future and to sitting down to a fine meal with friends and family soon. We recently chose to use Flowers in the Attic for our September wedding. They were AMAZING! First of all I went into the planning with a very vague idea of what we wanted then about four months in I changed everything. Ken and his team were so patient with me and somehow knew exactly what I wanted when I couldn't find the words to describe it. The flowers were perfect, and all the arrangements looked wonderful untill the very end. Not only did Ken and his team make our wedding look beautiful and unforgettable, but they felt like a part of our story. Ken and the team at Flowers in the Attic are 100% the best.

After seeing their work at a relatives wedding we automatically booked. We gave Ken a lot of free reign to design what he believed was best for the wedding with only minimal input and he did an amazing job. The flowers were fresh, arrangements were unique, variety was produced but most of all everything was beautiful.

Also, Ken did a glass cake table lined with flowers underneath for us and it was the highlight of the wedding for all of the guests; we got so many compliments!

A few days after the wedding, I was discussing the event with my mother. We were talking about all of the decisions that go into wedding planning. She said to me, "You know what the best decision we made was..." My answer was, "The flowers." She stated, "That's exactly what I was thinking." Having Ken Milko and Flowers in the Attic do the flowers for the wedding was the best decision we made. The flowers were gorgeous. The wedding space (Pittsburgh's Grand Hall at the Priory) was pretty beforehand, but Ken transformed the room with his arrangements. From the tall crystal centerpieces to the shorter arrangements to the beautiful archway, they did a fantastic job. The bouquets were lovely too. My flowers had pretty crystal embellishments and a beautiful little charm from Ken. The mothers had flowers attached to their clutches instead of corsages. Everything was perfect. I am SO happy that I found Flowers in the Attic and FLorist Ken Milko to help with my wedding flowers and Decor. Ken did my sisters wedding a few years ago in September and made beautiful arrangements of these HUGE red roses and different shades of orange, yellow and green. Everyone thought the flowers were absolutely beautiful! Meeting with Ken for the first time he knew exactly my vision and color scheme i was trying to come up with! Not to mention we had a fabulous time at our meetings. He is loveable and makes the whole experience memorable! My color was eggplant and i wanted lots of candles and everything accented in gold. He did a fantastic job at giving me everything i wanted and more! He also flew in white peonies from New Zealand special for me!!! He made gorgeous tall arrangements of plum gladiolas with curly whilow. He made the most amazing place card table!! Ive never seen anything like it and everyone loved it!! My guests couldnt get over how beautiful everything was decorated! He also gave me two wreaths for the church made of silk flowers to hang on the doors when walking in, that i could keep!! He had so many wonderful ideas and i trusted him completely!The whole experience was wonderful. He is definitely someone you want on your side to help you plan your special day! You wont be dissapointed!
