I hosted a baby shower in the event space, which, like the bakery, is absolutely adorable. The cake and desserts provided by Angela were beautiful and tasted great. Needed a cake for an event two days away and randomly selected a local spot via yelp. Looked at the photos but honestly they don't give the bakery justice. I was completely awed by the beauty of my red believer cake and my guest absolutely loved it. I will definitely make this my go to bakery. Beautiful cake and design. Received many compliments on how delicious it was! The only issue that I came across was packaging. I picked up the cake the day before the event and wanted a fully closed box so that it wouldn't get dirty (it was white) in transport. Let me tell you about this place...I ordered all sweets from her for my babyshower, the theme was bumblebee...it was beyond fantastic, not just the design where this lady, Angela gets so creative, but also it tasted delicious :) I got so many compliments on how good everything was, so after this success I rented the place for my daughter's birthday party. ..and they met my expectations again, my Mickey mouse theme party was absolutely perfect...the place is super cute and clean, the attention was awesome and the cake, favor gifts, cakepops decor...everything on point. I can now finally publicly admit to the world that this cake was made for our daughter Candice Arnone's November 17th space themed baby shower at the Tower Club in Tuckahoe! The cake was so AMAZING! Not only was it visually stunning, it was melt in your mouth delicious! No other bakery was even willing to do cake pops but from the first mention of planetary cake pops all Flowerbake by Angela wanted to know was how many we wanted! And when I saw Sunny Hostin's cake come out and realized it had been on the Facebook feed of Flowerbake by Angela I'm quite sure all of y'all in NYC area could hear me out in Illinois hollering "That's the same people who are making my baby's baby's cake!" I wanted to love this place. The space is beautiful. I went there with my five-year old for a treat. She had a cupcake and I had a cappuccino. We were the only patrons. The cupcakes were beautiful. Ours arrived at a very nice plate. We only tried one - the one my daughter picked. The cake part was like a corn muffin. Not my favorite. I like my cupcakes delicate. I did not care for the frosting. Maybe it was just this one and we need to try some other type. The cappuccino was okay, not great coffee but properly made. Went to the grand opening of Flowerbake today. This bake shop is elegantly decorated and has a wonderful selection of high quality baked goods. The attention to detail is amazing in this space. The owner did a wonderful job on the interior and small touches that go far. I had a drip coffee and the rosewater cupcake which was wonderful, and a lavender cupcake to go, the cupcake was presented beautifully in a clear bag in a stand with a cupcake sticker to seal the bag closed. Detail like that instead of just placing it in a white paper bag is what I like about the cafe.
