I travel far and wide, and ended up here by mistake, i was overbooked elsewhere. Best mistake i ever made. A beautiful cottage on a large guest and wedding venue. A real taste of Africa at its finest, the farm is steeped in history and has been lovingly restored over the years. The cottages are farm style with exquisitely decorated and very comfortable, and has everything you could possibly want. Offers self catering options or farm style suppers and breakfasts , at a price far below the average. As i am typing this i am lying in my very comfortable bed listening to the roosters crowing as dawn breaks, pure bliss. I cant say enough about thid place save that if you pass through Chrissiemeer my advise is stop over and stay. Its well worth it. More...

Attended a wedding here. The place is spectacular! The farm views and the setting is spectacular. The breakfast hall is suburb with live piano and solid fire places. There is a mini 9 hole golf course on the estate. The staff is friendly and extremely professional. This is a must see. They have good priced chalet and more premium accomodation. Beautiful wedding venue in the middle of nowhere. It is very scenic and pretty here so you can expect your special event to be memorable. This sort of place is generally always a work in progress with the farmer owner continually building new structures and improving the place. The staff are sincerely friendly. If you are fussy then you can pick away at things that dont meet hospitality industry standards but which are really minor in the grand scheme (Light switch is placed in the back of the room. Maybe I was given the bridal suite? Couldnt find the shampoo but I didnt ask either, and the supper was a limited selection but tasty. No extraction fan in the shower). There was a large contingent at the supper table and everyone was having a wonderful time. So this is a great venue for folks from the surrounding areas. If you are going to complain about the little things here then you probably are going to find your marriage unhappy too. More...
