The secret to efficiently losing fat is to understand the role of muscle in burning calories. By adding more lean muscle to our bodies through strength training, we increase our resting metabolic rate, or the number of calories we burn on a daily basis.

This is because muscle burns calories, even while you rest.

In fact, strength training is more effective in burning fat than most "aerobic" activities because the added muscle helps you burn calories.

Research shows that women's resting metabolism actually decreased by 75 and 103 calories per day with "aerobic" and diet-only changes, making it more challenging to maintain fat loss. But with more muscle, maintaining fat loss becomes easy.

Therefore, incorporating strength training into your fitness routine is crucial for not only achieving the body of your dreams but also for efficiently losing fat.

Coach Evan competed in NCAA Division 1 Track & Field as an undergraduate while running for the Mid-Con Indoor Championship Track team at Oral Roberts University. As time went on, Coach Evan hurt his knee while serving in the US Army. This led to three straight years of surgery and six years of recovery. Coach Evan committed himself to understanding the human body in order to achieve full functionality and athletic abilities. He holds qualifications in Corrective Exercise, Performance Improvement, Medical Exercise, and The 11th Infantry Regiment Combatives Trainer Course (Level 1) in addition to being a former Life Time Fitness Personal Trainer and NASM Certified Personal Trainer.

With his no-nonsense approach, Coach Evan has helped 537+ people make lasting improvements to their health, vitality and physical fitness.
